I was looking for an instant read thermometer, BBQ style. I came across this one as it offers interchangeable probes, can read 2 different probes at the same time, has a backlit, convinced me to buy. Very happy with the purchase. I have used it to adjust the offset of my PID controlled espresso machine temperature. I hope I'll be using it for many years for different applications.

I bought this thermometer because my wife was telling me the electric oven wasn't getting as hot as the set point. Reading the old analog thermometer was too difficult as the eyes aren't what they used to be. I believe this little unit is more than accurate enough for most readings as K thermocouples are pretty accurate. It's very easy to set up and operate. It came with two wire thermocouples and two probe thermocouples. A good deal!
