I've been trying to reduce the plastic in my life, especially single-use items like straws. For a while I took used ones with me when I went out to eat, but often I would walk off and forget them at the end of the meal. These stainless steel straws appealed to me for several reasons. They are durable and easy to clean. They don't affect the taste of what I'm drinking. The price is right. And they are so distinctive that they are hard to ignore. Several food servers have said that if I did leave them, they would not throw them away because they are clearly meant to be re-used. I am happy to recommend them.

I thought I was getting a more narrow straw when I ordered the 9.5mm size, but I can use these nonetheless. This size would be great for milkshakes, smoothies, or any thick liquid. It will work fine for water and other liquids as well, but is a larger opening if you need that. I will only drink out of stainless steel straws and these are really good quality.
