Very Useful Travel Bag
I recently used this for my trip abroad. It came in handy when I was at the pool. Locking it to the chair, throwing my towel over it and walking away, it was a little more sense of security. Easy to use, unlock/lock and even changed the combination. The quality is good, sturdy, relatively thick material. Stored my phone, room key, passport, money and keys just fine. Now, is it 100% secure, probably not, but it IS a very good deterrent.

A small bag to keep your wallet, phone, and keys in.
Just a small bag with a heavy strap for wallets and phones at the pool. You have to pull the strap all the way tight to get to the grommet for the lock but it is there. No it wont withstand a nuclear blast or a samurai sword attack. If you swing it, at the right time, it might ward off an angry Schnauzer but I wouldn't count on it. I am confident it will keep your stuff safe, tied to your lounge by the pool, while you run to the restroom. Exactly what I was expecting and this is how intend to use it.

The grommet is to small
This bag would be so much better with a bigger grommet so you could put a beefier lock through it. The lock that comes with the bags is pretty wimpy. Otherwise I like it.

Well made and great design
I was looking for something that I could take to the gym to put my cell phone in while working out (my gym just has open lockers), that was also not bulky so I could just throw it in my gym bag. I spent a couple of hours reading the reviews on all the different secure containers on the market (Paksafe, Flexsafe, Safego, etc), and this one seemed the perfect combination of portability and security. It has turned out to be perfect. It is a great size so I can easily roll it up into a small package that fits in a (large) pocket. then when I am at the gym I simply unroll it. It easily fits my gym card, car keys and phone in the bag and then I lock it around one of the weight racks in a corner. (I chose the khaki one which is a pleasant light tan that does not draw attention to itself.) I also attached a small lanyard (the purple thing in the photo) to the lock and to a loop that inside the top of bag so that it can be kept safely inside the bag when not needed, but is easily retrievable.I have not tried slashing it or anything (!!) , but it it appears well made and will deter any walk-by thief. I am also planning on using it at the beach this summer as I am always nervous when leaving my car keys in a regular bag while I am swimming - and I think it will be perfect for that also.

Great for vacation
I bought this originally with the intent of having something to secure my DSLR camera and valuables that can't get wet in a rental jeep on the Road to Hana in Maui. If we decided to explore, those soft-top jeeps are notorious for being easy to break into...it worked like a charm, and was even able to use it for our passports and other important items in our rentals when out exploring at other times....I never 100% trust that someone couldn't come in and steal things. The only problem I had, and the reason for the 4 star rating, is the lock...so cheap, almost impossible to get open and closed regularly. I ended up using my luggage lock instead.

Not theft safe
I used this bag to hold a motorcycle cover while I would ride. This product lasted two days on the New York street. The first photo showed how someone nearly cut though the strap to get to… an empty bag. The second photo is upon return later that day to find the bag strap had been cut and the bag stolen. I am honestly, quite disappointed with the bag, and also impressed with the dedication to obtain a motorcycle cover.

It’s great if the trade offs they made work for you.
I’d like to evaluate the major claims that LockTote makes.1. Small, light, portable. Check. If you don’t need this, there may be better solutions.2. Locks tight enough to secure phones, etc. Check. Reviewers who say they either can’t lock it tight or can get things out when it’s locked are bewildered.3. Big enough for essentials. Check, so long as essentials do not include tablets, iPads, etc.4. Secure against bad guys with knives or scissors. Nope. But get real. This is like a bike lock — it keeps honest people honest. It does not protect you against a determined thief. If you need to stash your stuff against committed crooks, get a better beach or pool. If you want protection against knives, forget goal #1. It ain’t gonna be light or portable. For my wife and me, it solves the beach, pool, public boat problem, where you need to secure wallets, phones, keys, and cash while you swim. For that, it’s excellent. Not 100% foolproof — but a lightweight, easy, cost-effective solution.

Peace of Mind
We were traveling through Spain for a month, staying at apartments. My husband was concerned about theft so we decided to purchase the Loctote bag. It was surprisingly lightweight (the lock is the heaviest part) and no one was easily cutting through that lock! It was large enough to store an ipad, a kindle, a cell phone and documents. Bulkier items would have been problematic. My husband always secured the bag to something that was immovable--often times a plumbing fixture. While no one ever entered our apartments while we were out, he felt better having these items secured. It will travel with us next to Hawaii and then to Italy.
