Great value for money and perfect delivery from Amazon.
This is a fantastic technical set, however I do think the age range should be higher , its complicated with all the gearing and we did at times struggle with the tightness of the parts, having said that its a fantastic set when completed, and worth the price, also looks great along side the dumper truck set, a must for any engineering fanatic.

Includes almost every technic mechanism
Take note the set is NOT electric, the title is saying the crane - in real life - is electric, not that this lego set is motorised. Lego wouldn't sell an electric set for less that £250 now days haha I like it when sets have either one of every technic mechanism, or focus heavily on one particular element. This set has almost all the neat features technic sets usually have - which makes it great for people new to technic, but doesn't lean particularly hard into any mechanism. Bit of a Jack-of-all-Trades set. It has 4-way pneumatics, rear open differential, moving pistons which ride a mock crackshaft connected to the rear drive train with gimbal joints. Gearing for things like raising and lowering the ramp and trailer stands. None of them are particularly unique implementations but the fact it includes all of them makes this a great set overall. More sets need moving pistons and diffs!! Would have loved to see suspension but while theorising adding some in my self - the space is admitadly very tight without making it weirdly tall or an unrealistic proportion. The pneumatics aren't great because of the poor seals on the leaver blocks make the crane fall when switching modes. This happens of a any sets where the pistons carry weight. You can fix this with silicon grease sealing the levers (smooth the pistons too, less friction and more seal). I was going to put 4 star because of the leaky pneumatics and I think they could have got it a bit closer to the real truck with similar parts. BUT there's a perfect space and easy access to drivetrain gears for adding a technics motor, almost like they planned to make this remote control before launch, all you need is a longer crankshaft through the engine and stick a motor on the end behind the cab. Steering is a bit harder but it's dooable with some small gears and a servo motor. The build was great too, only a few parts got fiddly - the joy of seeing like 50 black 1 unit pegs in one bag and knowing your fingers will be smoothed off by the end haha. Overall very fun took about 4 days going slowly (e.g. I like to make sure all the pegs are rotated the same way... I take my time lol). There was multiple times during the build I had a "oooooh that's what it is" after building some weird mass of pegs and L-blocks. 5/5 build fun Looking forward to more Volvo and other trucks!!

Big set!
I built this with my partner as it comes in 3 different builds. It’s a long set with moving parts and very intuitive . One of the stronger Lego builds I’ve done. Value for money is insane as you get 3 sets for the price of one really!

Volvo fmx technic set review
Outstanding lego set. My son thoroughly enjoyed putting this one together. The instructions were strait forward to understand and the model was put together quite quickly. Was a pleasure to watch him figure out the various components of the model and to figure out how the model functions. Overall was a fantastic learning experience both for me and my son.

Excellent build in 4 parts
A nice big Lego set that kept my enjoyment to the end. The only disappointment was that some of the flat parts have mould lines in them which is unusual for Lego products and spoke to Lego directly about this, who sent out replacement parts. The replacement parts had the same issue and Lego think it is a moulding issue and asked me to contact them again in 6 months time to request replacements, in the hope that the mould issue is resolved. Despite this, the build was great and looks really nice once finished. Well worth the price you have to pay for genuine Lego

Great price and product
What can you say, Another great Lego product, packaged very well and a great price in the sale from Amazon. As a product very complicated for younger kids but my 7 year old managed to build it. I had to help twice as he got stuck but a great product
