It finally arrived. But bits are loose inside the case, and the top acrylic plate has been cracked. This is due to the poor packaging. The clasp does not engage as well. All the bits are of good quality, and it looks very sharp. But one of the attractions of this item is the case. It is a shame that it arrived damaged.

Apparently the seller has improved their packaging, because the box my set was shipped in arrived wholly undamaged. The cutting flutes are indeed sharp, and I am sure they will last for a long time since they will only be used on wood products. Aluminium is soft, but will wear these out in a short time. I doubt they will work well on steel for very long, and may indeed work as poorly in that aspect as the 1-star reviews indicate. If you are in need of countersinks for wood, get these. You will be happy until a set of better make is obtained; if indeed such a set is even needed. If you need something for aluminium, these might work for a while, but will lose their edge and fail in a relatively short time. However, if you need a set for machining steel, I would advise something of higher quality and more robust construction. I doubt these will perform as one would expect.

work well

I bought these specifically for the hex shank hoping to be able to just use with a screwdriver to quickly ream out for screw heads in drawer pull mounting. Not quite sharp enough for that in maple, but would be in a softer wood. Worked well when I used in a drill as they were designed to be used. Only complaint is the case was scratched up because the person that packed it had two of the bits in the wrong cutouts so they shook around in transit scratching the clear lid. Purely a cosmetic issue, so no big deal.

The box which these were contained within was very sturdy and helps when being stored. The bits were sharp and cut well. I really like the ability to swap them in and out quickly with the quick-disconnect. Overall, I'm very pleased with these pieces and would recommend them. I'm not a high production capacity shop, just a small time fabricator, therein, these are perfect for the price and function.
