Got this for my husband and he LOVES it! He tested it against his other thermometers and it gave the fastest, most precise reading compared to his others. It's great because he's left-handed, so it's easy for him to use it at the grill without burning his arm. The screen is nice and bright, even in the daylight, and for the price, it was worth it! It folds up nicely so storing is easy or you can stick it on the grill, it has a magnet. So far it's been very durable and the quality hasn't changed - very, very good. It's also nice and long, so you aren't putting your arm over flames. Glad I got it for him :)

I'm used this for well over a year, and I find myself reaching for it all the time. I had no idea that I was going to use it so much, but it is a pleasure to use, and most helpful is the short response time which allows finding out food temperatures quickly. Its design and durability is great. It shuts down the display when not in use but quickly comes to life with just a small movement. The display can be disabled by folding the probe back. Although the selling price fluctuates in price, it is always an excellent value at any price and I cannot think of anything that needs improvement. Highly recommended.

I am not a chef, but want to know when my food is cooked to the right temperature. I had a couple of the digital "stick" meat thermometers, that both died, possibly from someone submerging them when washing them. They were slow to get to the actual temperate of the meat, and not all that accurate. This one is great, it reads instantly, it was so fast I didn't believe it until I tested it against things of known temperature. It is accurate within spec. The thing is calibrated, and NIST traceable for the that calibration. I was very surprised, I worked in a regulated industry in the past and know what that NIST traceability means. It is not something that you will find for a cheap foreign made thermometer. The thermometer turns on when you open the probe and turns off the instant you close it. This saves battery life, and with the probe stowed, there is no chance of "stabbing" someone with it or the kids getting hurt. And oh, it's magnetic so you can stick it on the oven, or the fridge out of little one's reach. This is a well-designed and build device. It is obvious that the company takes pride in this product. It may cost of slight bit more than others, but it is worth every penny. This will probably last me a lifetime, no planned obsolescence here! Bravo to a company that actually produces a quality product in today's market!

I love this contraption. I work in a restaurant and after using this for my line checks, I can see how much time is wasted with thermometers from a restaurant supply. It goes on sale a lot and is already at a comparable price to lesser thermometers. Quick and accurate with a wide range of temperatures but I use it for cold. being waterproof and well made means I’m not really worrying about it breaking. Dummy proof

I have been using the ThermoMaven thermometer for 9 months. I have owned several different thermometers in my 30 years of grilling and smoking experience and this is by far the best one i have owned. Readings are instantaneous and accurate, and I like the bright display that rotates temperature readings depending on how i am holding the thermometer. It is a quality product and if i ever needed a new thermometer this is the one i would choose. I did contact customer support prior to purchasing with questions about thermometer and i received a prompt response that answered my questions.

Works quickly and seems to be accurate enough for home use at least. Easy to read. Open the probe and it's on. Close the probe and it's off. Easy-Peasy.

This is hands down the best meat thermometer I have ever used. It is so easy to use! As soon as you open the thermometer it turns on, close it and it turns off, and the display is very easy to read. It has a power-saving feature that turns it dark after about 5 seconds of not being moved, and then turns it off after about 20-25 seconds of not being moved. It instantly turns back on when it is picked up. It is very fast, too. The temp is shown almost the instant you push the probe into your meat! It's also pretty accurate, just off a couple of tenths from our Ambient Weather Station for the air temp (see first pic; yes, it measures the air temp, too!). When measuring meat temps, tenths don't matter. And on top of that, the temp always displays upright, so even if you turn the thermometer upside down you can still read the temp (see second pic). I definitely recommend this meat thermometer!
