I brought this because our new oven is way too quiet to hear and I've not yet found how to turn the beep up. I had brought a similar priced item from a well known supermarket's middle aisle that was not a patch on this excellent timer. It's clearly been designed by somebody that actually uses these things on a regular bases. The display is large and clear The buttons are solid, round and recessed for finger tips except the start / stop which is larger and a different colour. Setting a time is easy with the different increment buttons (no silly plus / minus) and you can quickly reset. It sticks to a fridge, cooker front, extract fan (if metal) or will stand on a counter. The volume on high is loud enough for my bad hearing to hear from a different room or over the top of other kitchen noises. It feels really well made and it doesn't fall off if you close the fridge door a little too hard. All in all an absolute gem of a device, that allows you to quickly and easily set a countdown for boiled eggs to turning the roast potatoes this Christmas. It would be perfect for many, many other uses and despite having it only a few days, is in regular use. It easily takes five stars but I would make two suggestions: 1. Because of the thickness of the magnet, the bottom half the the device sits slightly off the surface. When you press the lower buttons, it rocks. I fixed this with a few layers of electrical tape just covering the battery compartment cover so the whole device sits flush with the fridge. It could probably do with a magnet on the lower half as well. 2. The second suggestion would be to offer it with a lit screen. It's large and clear in the light, but in the darker evenings, you have to have the kitchen light on to see it unlike the cooker timer.

So good I’m actually considering buying another one (or two). I’ve included a picture vs my old one. As someone with ADHD, I have a non-existent sense of time and rely on clocks and timers to function normally. Plus I love cooking so I’m a little obsessed with good timers. What I love -Clear display -Hours mins and seconds buttons, with a 5 minute increment button in addition to 1 min. A small thing but makes it way easier to use when setting stuff like 45 minutes. -Volume switch with high, low, and no sound! -Custom button for saving a set time, great for your morning boiled egg, or lunch break timer. -The timer can be set to count either down obviously, but also up like a stopwatch and can even display the time as a clock (even while a timer/stopwatch runs, you alternate between the two by press and holding the big button) -The timer counts up once it finishes counting down so you can see how long you’ve gone over e.g. when cooking something good to know much longer it’s been in the oven since the timer ended. What could be better -Although I love the accuracy of having a 1 second button, I would love a 5 seconds button in addition to what we already have. I can live with hours being only one at a time, the “5 min” button is extremely useful. Adding seconds even by press and holding is a bit annoying. Maybe even a 10 seconds button would be ideal (rather than 5) as I’m not sure it needs to be quite that granular. -My old timer makes a short beep when 10 minutes remain and again at 5 minutes before a full alarm obviously at zero. The inclusion of this is super handy for all sorts but especially when cooking as a warning to get ready to attend to something, I kind of miss it on my new timer. -The magnet could be stronger, but this is a bit of a nitpick as for most places you’d put it it’s absolutely fine. -A killer feature for me would be to have it able to vibrate.… which I’m sure would suck up battery but I’d pay more money for a USB-rechargeable one with a vibrate feature, I’d probably use it as an alarm clock which I already do sometimes in its existing form.

Good clear display, easy to use. You can't switch it off display is on all the time, I don't know how long the batteries will last. The alarm sound is nice and clear and I like the little pip with one minute to go. Better than cheaper ones I have bought.

Good value and works well

Great for my ADHD I use it as an external tool for awareness of time passing rather than just tracking how long I've been working for. Used also in the kitchen when I'm boiling stuff.

This is a really good timer. The 5 min button is really useful to quickly jump the timer up in 5 min intervals.

I find this item very useful for timing a wide variety of things. I use it regularly and it has lasted years. I recommend this timer with its easy to read face and the fact that it can stand on a table and is a convenient size.

Da quando cucino seriamente, ho capito che la precisione è fondamentale. Non si tratta solo di seguire le ricette, ma di conoscere i propri ingredienti e i tempi perfetti per esaltarne il sapore e la consistenza. Per anni ho arrancato con timer da forno integrati o, peggio, con il cronometro del telefono, ma da quando ho questo timer da cucina la mia esperienza ai fornelli è cambiata radicalmente. Appena l'ho tirato fuori dalla scatola, ho apprezzato subito il suo design compatto e funzionale. È robusto, sta comodamente sul piano di lavoro senza intralciare e, cosa non da poco, è anche esteticamente gradevole. Ma la vera magia inizia quando lo si usa. Il display è ampio e chiarissimo, con numeri grandi che si leggono senza problemi anche a distanza o con le mani sporche di farina. I pulsanti sono intuitivi e reattivi, permettendo di impostare i tempi con una rapidità e una facilità disarmante, che sia per una cottura lenta di uno stufato o per i pochi secondi cruciali della pasta al dente. Ma ciò che lo rende un vero alleato è la sua affidabilità. Che stia lievitando l'impasto del pane, cuocendo un arrosto al punto giusto o sbollentando le verdure, so che posso contare su di lui. Il suono dell'allarme è forte e chiaro, impossibile da ignorare anche in una cucina rumorosa o se si è nella stanza accanto, ma senza essere fastidioso. E dopo averne provati diversi, posso dire che la durata della batteria è notevole. Per chi, come me, vede la cucina non solo come una necessità ma come una vera passione, questo timer non è un semplice accessorio, ma uno strumento essenziale. Aiuta a tenere sotto controllo ogni fase della preparazione, riducendo lo stress e permettendo di concentrarsi sul processo creativo. Se cercate un timer che sia preciso, affidabile e a prova di chef, avete trovato il vostro compagno ideale.

De timer kan gebruikt worden als digitale klok en als timer, met 1 druk op de knop schakel je hem om. Hij is gemakkelijk in gebruik om de teller te laten aflopen dmv de knopjes zodat je niet eeuwig hoeft te drukken. De laatstingestelde afteller blijft staan voor snel gebruik, of je kan hem makkelijk resetten en een nieuwe tijd zetten. De magneet is erg groot en heb er geen twijfel aan dat hij stevig aan de koelkast hangt. Eraf halen om mee te nemen naar de woonkamer doe ik ook wel eens. Als de teller is afgelopen dan begint hij met optellen zodat je weet hoe lang geleden hij klaar was (totdat je de hem stopzet natuurlijk). Wat persoonlijk voor mij belangrijk is, is de volumeknop. Ik kan niet goed tegen harde geluiden en de middelste stand is voor mij perfect (standen zijn stil,middel,hard).

Estoy encantada con el temporizador!! Es muy fácil de configurar y no pesa nada. Lo uso para estudiar y medir los tiempos que tardo en responder preguntas tipo test. Me ayuda muchísimo a gestionar el tiempo que tardo en responder a las preguntas para saber si soy lo suficientemente ágil o debo ser más rápida leyendo. Puedes hacer lo mismo con el temporizador del móvil pero este no te distrae con el whatsapp ni tik tok. Es perfecto para opositores. Lo recomiendo mucho!
