This is just what I love. A great but inexpensive product. This simple product has great design. This simple product has great function. And this simple product has a 195O's price. The mortar is nice and low to the ground so it won't ever tip over. The Pestle is small... but big and fat. It simply crushes everything. The design is also beautiful in its simplicity and extremely solid in its construction. I bought it for large solid pills which I am having trouble swallowing for some reason. These crush those perfectly. It might not be big enough for a large Mexican dinner... but for smaller portions it is simply ideal. And only 1O dollars. What a great deal for a great product. I am a very happy consumer.

This is the perfect accessory to crush pills. It is small and doesn’t require much space on my counter. It is needed daily so it is easily accessible for use.it was purchased to crush my cats medication to treat his diabetes. It worked fine for 6 months, then I dropped the pestle on tile floor and it shattered. Fine for folks not as clumsy as me. I replaced with a larger metal version. The larger version is also easier to use.
