I purchased this less than a year ago (May 2021) and almost immediately I felt I had made a terrible decision when I ditched my old shark steam mop (S1000) for this one. I love Shark products - just not this one. First, the pros: 1. It steam cleans well. That's it. Now the cons - a long list: 1. You cannot simply remove the water reservoir and fill it. No, you have to stand it upright (more on that below), twist the opening cap and carefully pour water into the internal reservoir. They provide the water cup which is "meh". And the little window that lets you see the water level? It's of no help as it is not clear plastic - mine isn't, anyway. 2. Unlike my old Shark Steam Mop, this one will not stand up by itself. You have to prop it up against something - and not just a flat wall. It needs to be securely propped up or it will fall over. 3. The cloth is a royal pain to put on and take off. I miss the Velcro-attaching mop head. It's an ordeal for a number of reasons. You have to wiggle it onto the mop head and the Velcro strips that keep it on will fight you all the way. To do this, you have to have the entire unit positioned just right, like laying it on a table or counter top. 4. The cloth doesn't last long. I've despised this steam mop for so long, I barely use it. They'll tell you if it becomes difficult to push/pull the mop, that the cloth must be replaced. I've used this cloth, washed it exactly as the instructions said, and I've gotten exactly 6 uses out of it. After using this, I ache from the pushing and the pulling. The floor gets clean, no question, but this thing really gets on my nerves. I'll be buying another S1000. Do not recommend!

Update- Well it's broke. Used once a month for approximately 2 months =/ The water container seal leaks all the water out so I cannot leave water in the container or in the machine. This is really one of the most flawed steam mops I have ever seen. Please be aware. I have roughly owned for a month and used regularly. Not impressed at all, even for the price. I have owned 2 (triangle RED) steam mops for years and I needed one for a house I clean. I chose this brand because it was Shark brand, their preference and significantly cheaper. Mistake #1 This has 1...ONE...steam port for the entire head =/ So you only get steam right at the leading edge in the middle (triangle red one has 3). This cleaner in effect steams a spot about 4" wide instead of the entire steam mop head. There is zero off/on switch or variable for steam amount. It has a push handle that when you move the mop forward IN THEORY should release steam. It doesn't work for long passes, you lose steam so you have to work in smaller passes. The instructions tell you to pump the handle for extra steam or to prime. What a ridiculous way to mop! The height is short for a taller person, I am 5' 10" and the angle for mopping puts strain on your wrists to try and get it to glide properly and not be to upright. The cord is much shorter than my other steam mops, I don't like that at all for cleaning houses. I honestly thought upon opening it was a toy, its so lightweight it feels flimsy. The price is temping, but please don't. Read the negative reviews, they are spot on. I wouldn't recommend to friends, family, neighbors or enemies honest.

Bought the unit a few weeks ago, very happy it came couple of days later. Open the package and found the unit is a refurbished one, the unit has marks and scratches and all parts are just throwing in the box, no inner packing. The unit doesn’t work properly, steam came out from the head slowly and not warm enough. Pad stuck on the floor, hard to push and pull. It just did not work properly as the advertisement. I immediately contact Amazon to return this unit. Amazon intern have the seller sent me the return authorization and label. I packed up the unit and returned it to the UPS station the next day but found the label is not postage pre-paid, that means I have to pay the postage, which is $19.32. I did paid because I did not want seller has any excuses to delay refund my purchase. I contacted the seller to ask for the refund of my postage since the return is not due to my own fault. Seller finally contacted me, did not mention about refunding my postage but asked if I would like to have a replacement free of charge. I told them I would like to try once more, because I really like to have a steam mop and from my research, Shark makes good products. So, I waited for this free replacement to come. It came a few days later. Good, happy of me. Open the package and found this is another one refurbished one, same type of carton, same packing, no inner, scratches but not as many as the first one. Set it up and plugged it in, waiting for more than ½ hour, NO STEAM, body heat up but no steam coming from the pad. Not even warm up like the first unit, completely cold. THIS IS WHAT A SECOND TIME DISAPPOINTMENT. Contacted seller once more to demand the return authorization materials and insisted this time, the label must be postage pre-paid. Seller told me the return department is closed and will send me the materials the next morning. Now is the next day afternoon, no news from the seller after I already contacted them 3 times today. I advised them I would throw this unit away if they don’t send me the postage paid label. THIS IS A DOUBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS UNIT AND WITH THIS SELLER. I am 70 years old; I cannot keep carrying this big box back and forth back and forth to UPS station. Each trip is very tiresome for this senior citizen. If you don't want this type of experience , don't buy Shark and don't buy from this seller.

I thought this mop would make my cleaning easier and santitize my floors really well. I just did my after-Christmas cleaning and it has left my laminate floors looking dull. So, I got my $20 swiffer mop out and lo and behold my floors were obviously still super dirty, which means they weren't very sanitary. No thanks, I'm returning. This is very disappointing. I usually like Shark products.

This worked great when I first used it, but after two uses, it stopped making steam and just water poured out. Its to late to return it so I am out my $$$. Very disappointed

I have to say my method of cleaning the kitchen floor is to wrap a wet j-cloth round a broom and go over the floor with it. Housework isn't my forte. But my husband loves this gadget, and it seems to give him great pleasure to clean the kitchen floor with it, even when it doesn't need doing. Actually the mop thing seems to remove a good deal of invisible dirt, so obviously it needs doing more than I thought. The floor dries quickly, and you just throw the mop thing in the washing machine. Job done! As long as I don't have to do it. Edit: Having read the other reviews, I looked closer at the gadget, and it is true that you have to add a UK adaptor for the machine to work. Personally I would take a star off for this, but as I say, my husband loves it, and as he is the one who uses it, what can I say?

Muy economica y funciona muy bien! La utilizo para limpiar orina y vomito de mis gatos, porque tengo 18 y funciona de maravilla. Antes veia con pesar esos accidentes de los gatitos y ahora los veo como un reto, ya que tengo el arma adecuada. :3 NOTA: Algunos clientes también con mascota aconsejan poner aceites escenciales y aromaticos en el trapeador, esto va a matar a sus mascotas. Amigos, simplemente busquen en internet antes de hacer ese tipo de experimentos. Cuiden la salud de sus mascotas y además el trapeador no es para eso.

con el Shark la boquilla esta mucho mas limpio. Tengo un perro y cuando ella toma agua la mitad sale la boca y deja manchas en la boquilla. El Shark limpia la boquilla y todo el piso es mejor.
