Great Affordable Barefoot Shoe Option
This is my third pair of Whitins. This brand is great if you're looking for an affordable alternative to brands like Xero shoes. People deserve access to proper shoes without breaking the bank. For this pair specifically, they felt a little small until I took out the insoles, at which point they fit like a glove. I will say, I have slightly short feet compared to most people, so they are a little roomy at the front, but I like that. Width is really good. Listen to people about the sizing: you should likely order a half size or size up. If you measure your foot manually though, the sizing should be accurate to their sizing charts. I will say, for this specific pair of shoes, the shoelaces were weirdly long. I might replace them. Otherwise, great shoes, super stylish and comfy.

Teen daughter loves them!
My kids made fun of me when I started wearing Whitins a few years ago, now the whole family is hooked from 7-40 yrs old. My daughter loves high tops but her feet are wide (we are a mostly barefoot family) and her instep is high so she could never fit in the popular brands with super narrow toe boxes that everyone wears. I bought her these for Easter and she LOVES them. Purple matches nothing so it goes with everything! The shoes are top quality, super lightweight and flexible, comfortable, and built to last. They are super easy for her to get on and off, unlike most other high tops. At a fraction of the price of popular brands, these are an excellent value for the cost. The tread on the bottom is grippy enough for everyday use but haven’t tried them in rain or anything although being canvas, that wouldn’t be a top choice anyway. Highly recommend and they are super cute on- do not look like clown feet at all. We have multiple styles of kids and adult Whitins and we love them all. Buy them! Your feet will be soooo happy you did

Great...just not for me
Man, I wanted to love these so much! They look fabulous. Definitely have the zero drop, barefoot with a little cushioning feel, with the wide toe box. They weren't overly large in the toe box, meaning they definitely don't look like clown shoes at all. They are very stylish and look like comfortable Vans, just without the pinched toes. But, there is a canvas reinforced toe area that, with and without socks, caught my big toenail every step. I appreciate the idea of the reinforcement, so toes don't poke through as quickly, But if that hadn't been there, I would have replaced the insole with my NorthSoles and would have loved them for as long as they lasted! The quality was quite good and the sizing was accurate. That's the only flaw I couldn't get around, and sadly had to return them and continue my search. If that's not something that would bother you, you'll probably love them!

Fit good
Fit good, pretty true to size. I usually wear 7-7.5 and got the 7 and fit good. I like there are actual shoe strings instead of the elastic things. Comfortable and look good.

Well made, attractive, comfortable shoes!
I have three pairs of sneakers in this brand that are exactly the same except the color. I have three pairs of the low cut in white, black, and tan. I have this pair of high tops. They are machine washable on hand wash. I always remove the insoles first. I love them. The wide toe boxes are awesome. I was raised wearing Birkenstocks, which I still really love and wear, but I wanted something that I could wear as everyday “play” shoes that I didn’t need to worry about damaging. Turns out that these shoes are very well made and can go into the washer. My feet are wide because I have lived in Birkenstocks. These sneakers are the perfect width for me. One day I did wear a pair of these sneakers for a very long day of walking and at days end, my feet hurt. So, I bought a set of inserts and I have used them in these sneakers twice. Made them perfect for a long day of walking. I highly recommend these shoes in the two styles that I purchased. They have several other styles that I have not tried.

Low toe box, otherwise great
I was hoping these would fit well and they do for the most part, except for my big toes. They're pointing upward and I need a bigger toe box than these shoes provide. Although it looks like there's fabric on top of the toes and that it would be soft enough for my toe to stretch up, there's actually part of the plastic sole coming up over the toes, which squishes my big toes in a painful way. Otherwise they are very comfortable and warm. I wish I could wear them without pain.

I was hoping these shoes work out and I actually really like them. They are light, soft, roomy, not too hot and comfortable. Nothing rubs or needs breaking in. Quality seems good, the canvas is quite thick and sturdy I think they’ll last well. I sprayed them with Nikwax to weatherproof them a bit and replaced the laces with elastic ties to make them quick on and off. I got them in all black but might consider an sei c pair in another colour for spring/summer.

Comfortable, nice quality shoes. I love the wide toe box! This is the second set of shoes I have made by WHITIN and the first being my favourite pair to wear. These are equally as wonderful. I would recommend these to anyone, especially if they have wider feet

I really like these shoes - they’re comfortable and fit really well. They take a bit of getting used to because they feel lighter than regular shoes, but once you adjust they’re great. My only issue is that they’re not super practical for anything beyond walking on paved surfaces, and have a few safety concerns. The grips on the bottoms are terrible on anything other than pavement, and I’ve slipped a few times on other surfaces. Today I was walking some dogs for a client and hand to step on the grass to give them space from another passing dog, and my shoes slipped and I ended up spraining my ankle and fell to the ground, which is not ideal when trying to control two large dogs. They also make a super loud squeaking noise when you walk on tile/linoleum type flooring which is annoying. I’ll definitely wear them until they fall apart, but it would take some serious redesign of the gripping on the bottom for me to even consider buying them again.

I’m a size 7.5 in ‘normal’ shoes and ended up ordering a size 9wide (8.5wide was sold out) it’s a touch big but size 8 was too small and also shrank almost a centimetre in length when I put them in the dryer. I’m new to barefoot shoes n recently learned this is common for barefoot shoes to shrink when applying heat to them, that includes exposing our feet to hot asphalt. My other size 8 Whitins are a smidge too small. Not because my toes touch but sometime they kinda do when walking. Anyway I’ll share a pic of the 3 compared. Sizes don’t seem too different but they’re all different Whitins. The shoe without laces is the one I’m reviewing. I just drew all over them. They’re super wide in the toe. The fabric bunches a bit on top which is why I drew on them (to hide the weird wrinkle. Either way. Comfy enough I got 2.
