Does the job right!
I was very frustrated with the compostable bags I'd purchased after the last vendor's product was not available on Amazon. It broke if you looked hard at it, so that I had to carry the bag IN the can to the trash bin and dump it in opened, because I couldn't lift it out of the can to tie it.So I ordered this product with a skeptical heart. It was the same thickness as my current unsatisfactory bags, so I had some trepidation. When this new product was delivered, I could tell immediately that this was a superior type of bag, very much like the bags I used to use. They felt thicker and stronger than my current bags, even thought they were supposed to be the same thickness. .I've used the bags a few times now. They haven't ripped. I can pull the bag out of the can and carry it to the bin without issue. They haven't leaked.I also appreciate that this box contains 100 bags, instead of 50, which was the max the unsatisfactory product provided. This product has the Jaed Seal of Approval!

It's a compost material, not (just) compostABLE bags
Not a trash BAG, just TRASH.I bought this with the expectation of reducing my plastic waste further (have been using my own shopping bags instead of grocery plastic bags, glass containers instead of disposable lunch/food containers, buy refills instead of individually packaged goods, recycle plastic bottles and alum cans 100%, and so on). I used up all my hoards of paperbags or amazon mail order packaging so now I come back to this ProGreen bag. The first bag was okay. I thought it was very thin and very slippery (almost like powdered safety gloves feeling but no powder on this bag). It served the purpose and I changed the bag with the 2nd bag. When I lifted the bag to take to the trash can, the bag just slipped off the bucket I use as trash receptacle in the kitchen. The trash was now in the bucket directly or spilling all over the kitchen floor. No resistance at all from this bag because the 'plastic' just separated and smoothly slipped of the bucket.I pulled another bag from the box and while I open this 3rd bag, it again just quietly and smoothly tore off. No stretching, no resistance, it just broke apart so easily like tearing a toilet paper, only toilet paper still gives you a little resistance. Or like a very thin fresh sheet of philo dough that tears apart simply by its own weight.I also misunderstood the brand to be Austrian made. Now that I re-read the description, it says TUV Austria Certified, but these bags were made in China.I kept pulling bags after bags and all of them tore apart very easily, I didn't even try. I simply separated the 2 sides that clung to each other so I could put stuff in it but instead of opening the bags just tore completely. There are still a lot of bags in the roll/box but I'm not even going to bother. It's compostable, yes, straight from the box.

Good solid bags, but can leak liquid
These are very nice, thick, large compostable kitchen trash bags. We use them to collect smaller compostable bags that are full and tied up.Pros:- nice large size (kitchen trash size)- thick and durable, doesn't break or tear easily- compostable!Cons:- liquid does seem to leak through these, so many times we have to double-up- a bit priceyOverall I recommend these if you can afford them regularly, and don't mind having to double them up to prevent liquid leaks.

These fit really well in my Compo Keeper
My Compo Keeper has long had a broken mechanism, but it still has the black plastic framework and the gray carrier for the full bag of compost. I finally ran out of the original liners that were sold by the company for the Compo Keeper, and these fit perfectly. They are just large enough that I can drape the sides over the edges of the black framework and tuck each corner in. Consequently, even though it doesn't close up when the lid is closed, I do have a neat compostable sack holding the compost and can lift out the lifter and dump it into my large outside composter with no problem. Although it takes quite a while for one of these sacks to completely disappear since they are meant for an industrial composter, they do start to disintegrate fairly soon to the point where they are just small pieces when you are ready to use the compost, and are OK, as far as my experience goes, if you put them into the ground. By the end of the season, I'm pretty sure they are completely gone. Of course you can also just put them into your regular garbage after dumping the compost, and know that that in the landfill, they will eventually disintegrate rather than living on for several lifetimes. These are too large for one of those small countertop composters. You need a fairly large compost bucket that sits on the floor. They would also work for a small wastebasket where you were putting in stuff for recycling or even just regular waste. That way, you would not be adding more plastic to the garbage stream.

Progreen Kitchen waste bags
I’ve used these for years and reorder annually. The 100 count box fits nicely in a kitchen drawer for handy access. Good performance- they never leak or tear. A good eco-friendly option!

Perfect for Large Dog Poo and Cat Litter Pick-Up
Compostable dog poo bags sold at pet stores seem laughably small -- certainly not scaled to provide proper hand-and-forearm coverage when collecting the hulking poo of a 120-pound Malamute-Pyrenees. Enter these world-class bags, which at 2.6 gallons are just a tad smaller than a plastic grocery store bag, but won’t outlive us in the landfill. At a best-in-class 0.71mm thickness, they dispense from their box like a tissue, they don’t tear during poo pick-up, and their sheer size keeps one’s hand and arm poo-free.Then into the composter they go, or out to the trashcan, joining their pals assigned to cat litter collection.Investment-wise, 100 bags at this great value (just over $.10 per bag) seems a reasonable price to pay to avoid further beat-down of our plastics-riddled planet. – (Was this review of use to you?
