Great value exchange in a sleek package.
This is an amazing product from Garmin. This is their entry level option and it’s very well made and good value for money. Better yet, got this around Thanksgiving so it was discounted. Very sturdy build with sleek design and quality materials and finish. Band could be an issue for larger persons but there are after market options available. Comes in a box with minimal items in it; charging cable (USB-C to Garmin’s proprietary attachment configuration) and a booklet. The user manual is available through a barcode that takes you to their PDF version of the manual, allowing for less bulk in the box. Tracks metrics well and offers a variety of functions to choose from, such as exercise tracking (across different activities), sleep tracking and certain lifestyle metrics such as heart rate and heart rate variability during sleep. Battery life is good but can vary depending on the notification settings you have as it vibrates to alert you of notifications as well. Great support and access to a variety of Garmin’s community activities and connections through the Garmin Connect app. Lots of challenges available too through the community functions in the app too, such as step goals, cycling and gym goals, swim goals etc. All in all, would recommend for anyone willing to make a low risk entry to Garmin’s platform or looking for a light weight option to help with activity tracking.

Excellent Battery Life and Accurate Tracking
This watch has been great so far. The battery life is impressive, especially for a smartwatch with a bright, colorful AMOLED display. The screen is clear, sharp, and easy to read in different lighting. Tracking is accurate for runs and daily activity, and the data feels reliable. It’s easy to use and does exactly what you expect from a Garmin running watch. Overall, a solid choice with strong battery life, great display quality, and dependable performance.

Game Changer for Fitness
Such an excellent device. Had I known these watches were so good, I would probably have bought a more expensive one. To be fair this one does everything I need for cycling, running, hiking, and strength training. Has two sources of GPS so I get accurate tracking while up in the mountains by my area. Only feature that It doesn't have is music. They make a music version of this one which would be nice because then I could jog without a phone.

Excellent Fitness Watch!!
I’ve been really happy with my Garmin Forerunner 165. The battery life is good overall, though I do wish it didn’t drain as quickly during heavy use. Luckily, it charges back up very fast, so it never feels like a hassle. The design is one of my favorite parts, it’s lightweight, not bulky, and very comfortable to wear. When I’m running, I barely notice it on my wrist. The screen is bright and easy to read both indoors and outside, which makes checking stats mid-run super convenient. it’s loaded with helpful tools. I like that I can track my sleep, which gives me more insight into recovery. The built in apps make it easy to keep up with my workouts, and the connections to Strava and MyFitnessPal are a huge plus for tracking calories and training time all in one place. Overall, this watch strikes a great balance between comfort, smart features, and quick charging. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants an easy to use fitness watch that integrates well with other fitness apps.

The perfect gift for amateur runners
The battery life is amazing, last at least 5 days doing exercise every day, its GPS Accuracy and heart rate tracking are very useful on my training. I’ll definitely buy it again if I have to.

Great running watch
I’ve been running for over 20 years and have only ever used by Apple Watch and before that my timex iron man running watch. Getting a dedicated running watch like this is a game changer. So many more metrics and options to use while running and to review after running has really made me a better runner. I’ve had this watch about 8 months now and have had no issues at all. Heart rate functions great for all day monitoring. I have used a chest strap for a long time for activity monitoring. Even w this watch chest strap heart rate monitoring is the only way to go for accuracy. Wrist based monitors are ok, but if your training and trying to hit certain heart rate zones I would to recommend a chest strap. W that said. Compared to my Apple Watch this wrist based monitor is better. It locks on faster and seems to be pretty accurate. Screen is easy to see in bright sunlight and inside as well. U get access to free training plans within the Garmin app which is easy to use but looks a bit outdated. W this watch you don’t get training load or training status or readiness like the more expensive Garmin watches but u do get training effect for each workout for aerobic and anaerobic metrics. I use iPhone and have the watch set to notify for calls and text only and the rest of my phone notifications are send silently to my notification widget on the watch which I love. Helps minimize distractions. The watch stays connected very good to my iPhone 14 and always syncs w the Garmin app. The strap the comes w it is comfortable but I did switch it out for a nylon strap which I feel is better and lighter. I would highly recommend this watch for its functionality, metrics and price when u can find it on sale. Overall Garmin products are over priced. But having a worry free experience when paired w an iPhone and accurate training metrics is worth it for this particular device.

I love mine for what it CAN do
It's not perfect, and has horrible "in house" GPS signal for treadmill, doesn't count reps very well, BUT, it does have a lot of great things that you can do with it when programming your own workouts, counting steps(as long as the arm swings, grocery cart pushers lol) running, training, intervals, heart rate, a few biometrics, and great app to go with it. Looks good, feels good, covers most, has a great altimeter (elevation for hiking)when the GPS is green, and I have enjoyed it for what it CAN do. Make sure you have a plug adapter that is the size of your phone, not USB to charge. It doesn't come with one. Holds charge a good 10 days and I use mine a lot during the day.
