I am very disappointed with this roti maker. It does not work as advertised. I tried every possible method soft dough, loose dough, different flour types but nothing helps. The chapathis turn out hard instead of soft, and they never puff up properly. When they do cook, the results are uneven some parts raw and some parts burnt. Overall, the rotis are not soft, they are difficult to make, and the sticking issue makes it even worse. This product is not reliable for making chapathi, roti, or tortillas, and I cannot recommend it.

Firstly i ordered this rotimaker as we eat rotis twice a day, so thought of making my life easy and this roti maker did his job awesomely. Starting from fulka, paratha, bhakari , this roti maker makes everthing perfect. My first rotimaker worked really well for nearly 5 months but after that the power light began to blink frequently and roti maker got slow.. I reached out the Star blue and request them if they could replace my rotimaker with working/new one. Team star blue replied me immediately and promise me to send the new one. To my surprise i got the delivery of new one in 3 days.. Very co corporative company with great product..I appreciate the help and support provided by them in recognizing the valued customers.

Being Indian, we are very fond of homemade rotis. We are happy that we found starblue rotimaker as it works really well for us. Initially, it took few trials to figure out how to use it correctly. But once you get a hang of it, it became really easy and mess free way to make rotis. Customer service is great as well. Initially, we received a broken item but we didn't realize for few months . But later we reached out to the company, and they replaced it without any delay. It’s indeed a great deal with the current prices. Would highly recommend it.

Waste of money. The video shown on Amazon regarding this product is not at all how dtysfunctioning this product really is! Almost $80 went down the drain. Amazon should refund me the money, as this product has not even once done what is shown in the product video or in the description.

It’s definitely a trial and error kinda product. If the dough isn’t prepared a certain way the roti comes out broken, and if even if the dough is perfect somehow the texture of wheat roti feels like it’s made of maida, very chewy. It’s good for once in a while cooking not for daily roti eater.

Amazing buy! Easy to make rotis and also super easy to clean. All my rotis puff up and are really soft. It takes a few tries before you start getting used to it. Here are some tips and tricks: 1. The dough should be a tiny bit more sticky than you would make 2. Make sure to heat the rotimaker until green 3. Put very little atta on the dough and put it on roti maker. Close the lid to flatten the roti. Trick is to put just enough pressure which you would learn over time. I tend to close the lid multiple times to make the roti thin. (It does not break or tear if you put the right pressure) 4. Let the roti cook on one side for about 30 seconds until you see some bubbles 4. Turn the roti and again let it cook for 30 seconds. With the spatula gently press the sides to ensure they are cooked 5. Close the lid gently to enable the roti to puff up. My trick is to give the lid a little support using my spatula so that the roti does not burst when it’s fully puffed. I sometime add different ingredients like salt, ajwain, masalas, spinach. I also sometimes make paratha instead of roti. Cleaning ———— It is simple to clean as nothing ever sticks to the rotimaker. Just wipe it with a wet cloth if you want. Caution: it’s really hot on the sides and can burn surfaces if accidentally touches anything.

I really really wanted it to work. I bought this because I have problems puffing up roti on induction glass cooktop. I saw tons of how-to videos about making the right kind of dough as well as what steps to follow. I was pretty confident about the stickiness of the dough. I couldn't possibly make it more runny. I followed all instructions to T, but unfortunately success rate was really low. I tried few batches and tried with different sizes of balls too. Out of 40+ rotis only 3-4 turned out to be ok. They weren't super good but pretty decent. Rest all were either too thick, or too thin or too raw or too crunchy. Lot of them formed hole while pressing and never puffed up. In short, I absolutely had no confidence as to how the roti would turn out. I had to throw away lot of rotis because they became too stiff to eat. Machine build quality is low. The hinges are bit wobbly. Even after letting it heat for 20 mins, the green led would not light up. Pressing hard is not possible because it starts making weird sound. You can't press multiple times too. So as mentioned in manual you get to press only once. Once you start making rotis, green led would never turn on. I am not sure if that was problem with the unit. I am not going to test more. It's not worth it-- unless you really are ok to eat ANY form of roti. I can't, so I sadly have to go back to manually making the rotis. It must be magic if this thing worked as advertised for anyone.
