Great for a begginer!
I have had this induction wok for about a month. (my first one) I have used it several times for stir fry and frying chicken. it is super fast to heat up and if you do some research, cleaning up is ez. I would make sure you have plenty of time to season the wok. i believe this is one of the most important things you need to do before using the induction base. So far, as of this review, i have had zero issues with the base, i did do a lot of you tubing to research induction wok cooking and its has been awesome to use and learn as i go. If you want to "flip" your wok, this one isn't easy to flip but for straight up no frills cooking you can not beat the price. it also has a commercial feel to it like something you would find in a diner or Chinese food joint. on a last note, this system is very easy to use and always ready to cook a meal. i have mine on the counter and its simple just to turn it on and be cooking eggs and bacon in less then a min.....

Nice stove and wok
Good stove and wok overall, the wok doesn't heat up as fast or retain heat as well as I had hoped. But still a solid product that I'm using daily now.

Great product
This thing is awesome, gets super hot ib seconds. I've been cooking with woks almost my entire life (59 YO); on burners, gas and electric stoves and even on wood fires. This is the best type of wok set up for the money and you can take it anywhere.

Good wok set up but not red hot.
Nice wok set up - but doesn't glow red. Better for small portions - heats up well for this. I'm not saying don't buy it - it is a good product. But my modified turkey fryer wok (used outdoors) gets the heat right.

Amazing WOK and Cooktop for the money!
Awesome wok and induction burner. WAY BETTER than the Nuwave, the erratic power of which was dangerous almost starting a grease fire by allowing the pan to skyrocket to 450°F when set at 250°F. This Lecon has smooth power control that does not make irrational promises and unless it's at full power it doesn't fly past 400°F. But if you want it to with 16 amps of draw at 1800 watts on 120v this thing screams to nearly 500° if you want it to. The Keep Warm button works pretty well, it is way hotter than "Warm" but it dependably cuts off at 245°F and doesn't turn back on until it gets down to 190°F. And the WOK is amazing quality for this price very round, relatively light, and hard cast iron that was easy to season. The wood handle is not finished very well and therefore cracked a little, I glued it back together, stained it to maybe wood in my kitchen and sealed it completely with Total Boat Halcyon Varnish. There was a lot of dirt and mill scale or something from the casting of the wok. I ended up sanding the inside with 220 grit sandpaper and steel wool until the black stopped coming off on paper towels. Then Seasoned it with one coat of avocado oil at 500°F in the oven for 20 minutes without the wooden handle. One time was all it took and the rest of the seasoning has been done by using the pan a lot.

Great burner with a better wok
I've owned this induction stove since November and I love it. The original wok was way too thin, so I gave it away for free. I'm using a hand-hammered wok from ZSH instead, which is excellent. I can heat up the wok on empty to nearly 800F, and I consistently use the burner from 1500-1800W. You will need to master carbon steel cooking in order for food to not stick, but I get stick-free results even with tofu, rice, and noodles.

I've been using this daily for about a week now, and so far it's worked well. The included wok is basic, but seems good enough. I haven't used it, however, since I already have a Yosukata wok. The "instruction manual" included is useless. It doesn't explain the operation of the buttons. Fortunately, the knob turns the unit on and off, and defaults to controlling the power output. There is a button for switching to temperature, but I ignore that and just adjust power output since that seems to be the most intuitive. I have no idea what the other buttons are for, but I don't really care. For stir fries, I normally use the highest power setting. Unfortunately, we in North America are stuck with 120V household electricity unless you decide to install a separate 240V outlet. So 1800 W is really the max power you can draw from a standard 120V/15A outlet. This is fine for cooking small batches, say 1 to 2 servings. 4-serving batches is probably the reasonable maximum. The fans are quite loud. I don't have any experience with other portable induction burners, and I've been told that they are all loud, so this may be normal. It also has a slight induction whine, but that is mostly drowned out by the fans. Power control is good. It doesn't seem to cycle on and off at low power like some other cheap induction units. My only real concern is long term durability, which only time will tell how this unit holds up. This unit is certainly built to a cost. Fit and finish matches its low price. For example, the edge of the metal ring around the induction glass is unfinished and somewhat sharp. Normally, this has no effect during operation. It is only while cleaning do you notice it. Another issue is that the back feet has no rubber pads, and as a result the unit tends to slide around somewhat, depending on how smooth your counter surface is. Unfortunately, there aren't exactly a plethora of countertop induction wok burners available. I considered the Nuwave and the Abangdun units. The reviews of the Nuwave put me off. I actually ordered the Abangdun one, but my main concern with that unit is how shallow the cooking surface is. It seems to be made to fit the included stainless steel wok, which is also quite shallow. It doesn't quite fit the typical round bottom woks, and I wonder how well it will heat those. So far, I think this is one of the better choices.

I have been curious about induction cooking for a while as a way to have a more responsive heating surface than electric. This wok induction set from leconchef provided an interesting taste, but I am not sold on it yet. The first thing to understand is that this is not a standard induction cooker - the cooking surface is concave, and flat bottomed pans do not make good enough contact with the surface to use them on it. There is some indication of this in the listing, but there is also currently a line up of the kinds of pans you can use on it, and none of them work with this machine. Unless you have a ferrous fully round bottomed wok, you will only be able to use the wok that comes with the set. The wok is solid, and nicely made, and large enough to cook for a family. The sides are very smooth, so it's not a great wok for having hotter and cooler areas, as all food slides into the lowest/hottest part of the wok. The wok also requires seasoning, and there is very little in the box or online to give instructions on this. I consulted a few YouTube videos and decided to try to season it using the induction hob. Unfortunately, it showed a shortcoming of the hob right away: heat does not travel well up the sides of the wok. I could only season a relatively small circle in the base of the wok. Other realities of using induction are the sound of the fan that runs while the unit is in use. It's not terribly loud, but it is constantly noticeable. Instructions on how to use the settings are also minimal. Overall, this isn't a bad unit, but the fact that it only handles the wok is very limiting for the space it takes up. Unless you cook with a wok very frequently, you'd probably be better off seeking something with a flat surface for more kinds of cooking vessels.
