Bought because of ChinandChoo recommendation
This is full of flavour and very fragrant. Unfortunately, I prefer my usual supermarket brand so I won't be buying again. I suspect it's just a little too sophisticated or authentic for my palate.

Atrocious
Anyone who knows about five spice knows the pungent distinctive smell and taste. When I opened the sealed airtight packaging I expected the familiar smell. There was absolutely no scent of any kind, except a very faint musty aroma. I tasted the powder it tastes like unpleasant sawdust. The only thing which this has in common with five spice is it’s a powder. I honestly believe this is a random substance ground into powder. The worst excuse for a spice I have ever experienced. Breathtakingly bad. I have thrown it in the bin because I don’t wish to eat ground up house bricks or whatever it is made of. Truly awful.
