if you place these in your home stairs, make sure you have a lot of space to cover the base of the post. missing manuals, instractions and poor quality design

Purchased two standard and one corner post to install on a small grilling deck. Posts are nice quality, bases are thick (sturdy) and welded evenly, hardware seems adequate but, I did choose to purchase galvanized screws, carriage bolts for my application. Incredibly solid when cables and a top was installed. Only grip I could come up with is that the cable holes are a little too big - seems as if I could put a 1/2" cable through which may be what some people want and I do not think that anyone would notice without an overly critical eye. Did try to find a grommet to fit in - metal would need to be glued and black rubber would the next best option. Fine otherwise.

I used it to support cables in an interior area where I replaced old style wooden spindles. It's very solid and comes with lag bolts to secure to bottom and top supports. It did take two shipments to get the order right. The first one came in an box with no padding and was missing parts. The second was packaged correctly and had everything I needed. My one complaint is Senmit doesn't sell grommets to finish the cable openings. I bought some I thought would work but are a little small.

I used all Senmit products to build this handrail on our new deck and couldn't be happier with the results.

Post are nice, the grommets are very hard to insert and must be positioned after cable is installed. These posts are listed as Stainless steel and I get there are grades of Stainless steel but these have been installed for a week and are already showing tarnish and rust. Polishing the posts removed the surface rust but it comes back next day as my sprinklers wet the posts with spray. I'm going to polish them and try a clear coat spray to see if that stops the rust.
