Mexico in Your Kitchen: Favorite Mexican Recipes That Celebrate Family, Community, Culture, and Tradition

Recommended by a Mexican-American friend. The recipes are authentic. The beginning of the book lists and describes a lot of traditional Mexican ingredients used in the book. Cooking methods are also described for beginners to this type of cooking. Great book to have if you enjoy Mexican food. I'm an experienced at cooking many types of foods but needed help with the authentic technique. These are real recipes and not Americanized versions you see online and on American TV cooking shows. The only challenge you may have is finding the correct grocery stores to buy the real ingredients depending on where you live. Fortunately, in my area this is not a problem.

I bought the first book “The Mexican Home Kitchen” to improve my cooking as my husband is from Mexico. We both love the dishes I’ve made from these recipes . Easy to follow recipes, authentic and truly delicious. One of my all time favorite cookbooks. This is great for novice cooks.

I’m is Latino heritage and learned our family recipes from my mother. These 2 cookbooks best represent our recipes with techniques and will be gifting them to the rising Irish/Italian family chef in our family who married my niece in 2015.

The book looks great and the photos are really nice. I haven’t been able to cook any yet but I’m sure I’ll be pleased with the results!! Fully recommend it!

As someone who loves a good culinary challenge, I appreciate the variety of dishes, from universally appealing classics to more intricate options like molé – one of my personal favorites. The majority of recipes will cater to novice cooks seeking an easy introduction to Mexican cuisine. All in all, this cookbook serves as a solid foundation as a reliable reference for Mexican dishes.

As a Mexican living abroad, I had been looking for a book like this! 100% authentic Mexican food. The kind of food my mom and grandma cooked when I was growing up. Highly recommend this book if you want to cook real Mexican food.

Her recipes are more simple but taste great.p, I have been making recipes from her first book for years. In Europe it may be more difficult to obtain some ingredients.
