Going to write a pretty long review as was very dubious about buying this roof bag and hope it helps someone else. When buying this roof bag, consider how many times you will be using it a year as using once/twice a year is fine but I personally don't think I would be happy using this lots. If you are practical then this roof bag should present no problems fitting and securing, if you're not then go to Halfords, buy and get them to fit roof bars and top box to your car. When packing, place your bedding, towels etc on the bottom covering the whole of the roof bag to protect your roof. Easy to secure with only having to use the 6 straps provided and stayed in place upto speeds of 90 mph (on the Autobahns) so no worries there at all. Didn't have to retighten straps as made sure it was fully loaded but may shift if not packed properly. When it comes to waterproof, we drove through two yellow warnings for rain and it was constant both there and back and absolutely no leaks at all, clothes, food, bedding and towels all dry. We were going to hire roof bars and top box but down to cost this beats it hands down. To sum up, cheaper than hiring a top box, no worries about storing a bulky top box in the garage as folds down very small and can be stored in a cupboard, definitely waterproof, good value for money. Brilliant roof bag, cannot recommend enough! We use this for camping and have used twice so far and it has been brilliant! Carries a lot and safe and secure. Comes with an anti slip mat too. We have a Golf R which has glued on door seals so we couldn’t hook the straps under the seals, so we had to improvise and purchased extra straps so they go all the way through the car. Works great. I would encourage anyone to buy this :)

We just completed our first trip to Europe with this roof bag. Positives: * The bag construction seems strong and had space for a lot of our stuff. * It remained waterproof despite driving through very heavy rain for most of a day. * The 10 straps gives plenty of confidence that it will stay secure, even at motorway speeds. * The non-slip mat remained in place with no issues. * It remained solidly secured between my roof bars through-out the trip. I only had to stop once to secure a flapping strap end that had come loose. * I didn't find it added much noise over what my roof bars already add. Negatives: * The supplied lock was really flimsy and never worked, so I bought a key and padlock to secure the bag. * It takes longer than you would expect to fit the bag, fill it and secure it. By the end of the trip, I had it down to about 40mins to install and secure. * Tightening the straps takes effort and is fiddly. * Despite using rolled blankets inside the bag to give some shape to it, it certainly hurts the MPG, especially at motorway speeds.

Excellent value and works brilliantly holding plenty of luggage. It takes a while to attach it the first time as the straps can be quite fiddly and difficult to work out, but once done, it's a great addition to the car to enable us to take enough luggage away with us when travelling with our 3 grown up sons. It is a great piece of kit for a very good price.

Fantastic item and great value for money, we find this better than a roof box as you can fit loads more in. Perfect for families as we can get everything we need in. Takes two people to put onto the car and fasten down I would say. Quality is fantastic and durable, waterproof and long lasting.

Highlights – Easy to store, lightweight and does what is needed. For reference, mine was 15 cubic feet bag and fitted to a 2009 Hyundai I30 without roof bars or roof rack. Make sure the non-zip end faces forward, will make more sense when you have the bag out and put your first bag or clothing here first, will help keep the shape while packing, this helped me but whatever works for you. The story.. Like many I purchased this roof bag as need for additional space and the cost of roof boxes and the required bars were shockingly expensive for something thar would be used once or twice a year, plus we have nowhere to store them when not in use. Was not expecting much in the way of quality or fit, but after reading the many, many reviews across different products and about to give up, I landed on this one and stopped looking. For our purposes it was perfect, fitted three sports/travel bags, dressing gowns plus all the beach shoes and a 1000 piece jigsaw case plus nik-naks. Point is, I am very happy with the purchase, made inside car more comfortable traveling experience. Only used twice for a trip to Wales and return back approx. 530 miles roundtrip and did not move or slide if tightened correctly, journey speed 60mph. Mine came with the roof bag, anti slip mat and six removable anchor points, unlip a little of the door rubber from the frame hook on the anchors and push rubber back on, loop the straps and tighten. A fellow holiday maker took an interest as we were packing as he has the same problem for space and was very impressed, he did ask if it is waterproof and the answer is yes. Found this out on the way back as just after we left Wales is piddled down all the way but all contents were dry. All in all, for an occasional bag to move the family and the sundries that go with them a decent purchase for the price and I managed to pack it back into the storage bag. Miles per gallon did drop by 3, but given the speed, weight of vehicle and distance I think was expected and acceptable. Time will tell how durable it is. Hindsight being what it is, I realllllllly wish I had got one years ago.

It's a good thing to have but can't be used on a Vauxhall corsa as the seals can't be removed so I had to use roof bars and bits of wood to put it on and had to buy some ratchet straps to ensure it won't move
