Travel Duffel Bag, Sports Tote Gym Bag, Shoulder Weekender Overnight Bag for Women

I got this bag before a trip to Europe. I wanted as big a "personal item" as possible, so was glad to find this. It's pretty lightweight but is very durable. I was able to stuff it with quite a lot of items (a change of clothes--nothing worse than arriving without your checked luggage, book, iPad mini, sweater for the flight, snacks, quart bag with liquids, etc. etc. etc. I did not need to unzip the bottom for extra space, but was glad to have that feature. I did use the snaps on the side--I guess their purpose is too make the bag look smaller?? The snaps came unsnapped right away when I used the bag straps, so that was a worthless feature. I think a loop button feature would hold better for that purpose. There are 3 pockets on the front. I had a water bottle in one (will hold a plastic 16.9 oz. bottle--probably not the wider reusable bottles, though), my book, small magazines, and such in the middle, and gum/candy in the other pouch. The best part, though, is in the back. Yes, that gap was wide enough that I could easily fit the bag onto the carry handle of my suitcases (both my smaller hardside carry on and my larger suitcase). I love that! The zipper pouch is big enough for a passport. I did have a few other flat items in it, but don't overstuff it. The passport will fit easily, but should go in first, as the outer edge with the zipper will partially cover it before you zip it closed. I noticed one reviewer complained that it didn't work with their bag--but they were using a very soft-sided bag under it. If you are going to stuff this bag, it will work best on a sturdy piece of luggage (hard or soft-side)--not a "mushier" soft bag. That said: with this bag (which was well stuffed, mind you), it did sometimes make my carry-on bag tip over if I wasn't careful, and the 4 wheels of my carryon didn't run as smoothly. I just used 2 wheels when moving at a clip, and that was fine. The bag did really well and still looks great. I had enough room under the seat to put a foot on either side of the bag (under the seat in front of me). The color I wanted (black with brown handles) came with a "wash bag" (toiletries bag). I didn't end up taking it, but I kind of wish I had. It is also really sturdy and roomy.

I planned to buy a foldie travel bag but couldn’t get it in time for a trip so I purchased this one. I think this bag is comparable and was only a third of the price. The bag is well made, has an expandable bottom, inside pockets and the straps are strong. I traveled with it to Copenhagen, Oslo and Scotland and was able to put everything I needed in it as a carry on. It has lots of space and fits under the seat on an airplane. I also appreciated the slot to put over my luggage handle. It was a great purchase.

**UPDATE: I have now used this tote to travel and i LOVE it. It is a sneaky good bag as I originally stated because it just looks like a regular tote. The fabric is thick and sturdy. There is a well-lined wet pocket inside. The expandable bottom is for real, not some lame inch or two but 4-5” of area that translates into quite a bit of extra cubic space. The carrying straps held up well as they also are very sturdy . This bag is well made and I would buy several more to gift to others because it will become my “emergency” carry on from now on. This is a travel must-have. I bought this to gift last year but ended up not giving it. I realized I still had it in my stash so I took it out to gift this year and have decided again to not. This time, I think I want to keep it for myself. I have an international flight in a few days so I may use it. The quality of the straps, bag fabric and stitching are all excellent. It is a high quality bag for a steal of a price. Roomy enough for at least a 2-3 day trip (carry on only), if not more. The bottom has an expandable/collapsible section and the zipper also feel strong and high quality. There is also an included carrying, cross body strap…also strong and well-made. I can’t stress enough that the bag is sturdy while being pretty.

UPDATE: down to 4 stars from 5 after flying with this as a personal item - it is so pliable that it kept sliding around my carryon rollerbag. VERY VERY annoying while rushing through an airport. Still like the bag, but will need to use it differently. Below is original review which still stands as 5 star otherwise. I am very happy with this purchase at the price point; I will try to clarify issues which confused me in the description. First off, the exact measurements I get (without the expandable open) is 18"W X 15"H X 7"D. While not the exact Personal Item measurement for carryon, I'm going to assume it'll pass if not stuffed. Expandable bottom adds about 5" to the height, which would technically be a few inches too big for Personal Item... but I'm gonna try it and just not stuff too full. I'll see how that goes on my coming flight on SW. I purposely chose the more muted brown straps on black (A5), but the one sent looks more like the shiny more vivid brown strap choice but I'm not that disappointed. Fine. The material definitely is waterproof - how do I know? Cause it was delivered outside the house later in the evening and it rained - there was a hole in the simple clear plastic packaging. The tiny amount of water that dripped in was droplets that did not soak in, and I'm still giving it 5 stars. This size Large does have a flap that easily fits over the handle of my carryon. The material is substantial, is waterproof/resistant? and it appears VERY well made. One thing that surprised me was that the expandable area, when unzipped open, became just part of the main compartment! I expected the area to be separated, like for a pair of shoes. It is not!!! Just made it a bigger bag, not a divided area. Once again, I'm still going with 5 stars, although this was a bit of a disappointment. So for me, BEFORE ACTUAL USE, purchased for a long flight, I expect this to be a winner - yes, a 5 star for value and how durable it appears. I researched quite a few before deciding on this one. The description on the page was too wordy and difficult for me to navigate, causing a bit of confusion. I will update this review if the bag performs any less than the 5 stars it appears to be.

Worth the price. Very spacious. Looks sturdy. Not used yet. 3 pockets inside, 4 pockets outside. I washed it before use, the stitching seems a bit loose now. overall neat work.

I can't wait to use my new travel bag on my upcoming holiday. This bag is so roomy. I love that it can be expanded if necessary. The internal pockets are great, especially the wet pocket. The quality of the materials are very good too. I'm very impressed.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend to encourage her to take more overseas trips! Loved that it was delivered quickly in good condition, loving the multiple compartments and material, affordable and perfect for travels.

Honestamente, si el zipper expansor de la parte de abajo, no hubiese venido atascado, hubiera sido genial. La calidad del bolso es súper, es resistente, a prueba de agua, muy bonita y lo importante, muy amplia, le cabe de todo. El color es tal y cual en las imagenes. Tuve que pedir cambio o reembolso por el problema del cierre, ya que sin el, pues no me funcionaría el bolso. Fueron muy amables e inmediatamente solucionaron mi problema. Sin duda, en una ocasión en donde tenga tiempo para esperar por el producto, la volveré a pedir.
