I was looking for a new hair paste and have committed to using natural ingredients instead of whatever simply appears to be good. So when I found this paste I had to try it. ITS INCREDIBLE. It dries well, and a very small amount goes a long way. If you don't use much of it (and allow your hair to dry before using it), it doesn't make your hair look wet/greasy and will simply look dry and hold. If you want that look, just use more, and use it while your hair is wet. The smell is nice and this is now my go to product for my hair.

I really like this. The ingredients are what really drew me to wanting to try this product out. I’ve been trying to be mindful as to what products I use on my body. There are just a handful ingredients in this product and they work! I have straight Asian hair so having a hair product that can keep my hair styled through out the day M-F 8-5 is important. Now this isn’t a product that will be sleek and shiny. This is matte and will produce more of a relaxed but styled look. This means you can run your fingers through your hair throughout the day. This product feels light in your hair and allows you to restyle your hair in the event of wind or when you take your shirt off. I usually start with towel dried hair and use a moderate sized amount and rub between my hands. I use a comb to style it at first but throughout the day I end up running my fingers through my hair. Washing out is easy as well. While it doesn’t wash out easily with water, shampoo and conditioner will take it out. I live in Texas so the humidity is intense. This product stayed in my hair with no problem. I also had the opportunity to use this product in Vegas as well. With both wet and dry heat, the product held my hair together. My only complaint is that if your hair is greasy, this will not hold up. I typically wash my hair once a day, but when I went two days without washing, it did not hold up and my hair constantly would fall down. I even reapplied twice. Nonetheless, Jack Henry clay pomade is a product you should really consider!

I have a medium-short length fine hair and so a little product goes a long way. I love the smell. What does it smell like? It smells expensive — without bombarding with fragrance. It has a nice light hold, but it doesn’t hold all day for me. Which is a little off a bummer but my hair is style very much stylable thought the day. So decent trade off. Because of my fine hair, it can get greasy if I add a little too much but that’s user error. Not the product’s fault. You really have to warm up the product in your palms before applying and if warmed appropriately before application, it goes in easily.

I’ve tried a lot of different clay products and this one would be rated a ZERO if possible. The product is fairly hard out of the jar. Once you warm up the clay in your hands by rubbing your hands together it is more pliable but it leaves a long term waxy residue on your hands. I had to wash my hands 5 times with soap and the residue was still there. I then had to use a towel scrub the wax off my hands. When it came time to wash it out of my hair, I had to wash my hair 4 times with shampoo and it still felt like a waxy residue was left behind. I’d stay away from using this product. You might as well use candle wax instead. I’d highly recommend the Aveda clay instead. Doesn’t leave a reside and it’s the best clay in the market.

I bought this product because it is free of harmful ingredients that many hair products have. I think it's the cleanest male hair product available, but in terms of how well it works, it's not great. It leaves your hair super matte and dry looking, so it's best to use with some sort of leave in conditioner. The hold is good though especially for thicker coarse hair. I hate hair products that smell and this one has no scent, so that's good. Overall, a bit expensive for what you get, but if you are looking for the healthiest male product without chemicals, this is the product for you.

A few months ago I decided to switch most of my toiletry products to products that had been identified as safer/healthier alternatives and I love this product! It washes out easy during my showers and it offers a good shine and a good hold throughout my day!! It could be viewed as greasy, but I think it’s fine and I really like the smell of this as well. It was a great alternative fine!

Awesome stuff that gives my hair control but not stiff or greasy. Love how natural it is too, will stick with this forever as long as they don't raise the price too crazy.

So far, this product has done it's job of a good hold without stiffness. Also, the scent is very mild and does not linger. I like that it is a very clean product with minimal ingredients and no toxins that we know of. It is expensive for the size for sure which is why I gave it a 4 star, but let's see how long I am able to make it last! Having said that, finding a clean hair product is like finding a unicorn so if it doesn't disappear too quickly, I may even bump this up to a 5 star!!
