I bought the Pylori Home Test Kit and was really impressed with how easy it was to use. The instructions were clear, and the test itself was simple to do at home. What really convinced me that this kit is reliable is that I also had my stool tested through the NHS — and the results matched exactly.

Waste of money if you’re on a PPI
I did this test and it was negative. I’m on omeprazole. I went to see my doctor yesterday and asked if I could book in for an H pylori test at the surgery as my home test was negative and I couldn’t rely on it. She said there is no point doing a test even a blood test done at the surgery while I’m taking a PPI because it will not be a reliable result. As other reviews have said, there are too many false negatives with these tests. I’m about to start weaning off my omeprazole and (hopefully) if I can get off them I’ll then do an H pylori test. A total waste of money for me.

Beware of false negative result
It’s an easy to use test, and it can ease your mind…..but please get checked by a doctor. I did this test and it was negative for h.pylori, but a test at my surgery came back positive. Don’t trust it 100%.
