Nice flavour and texture. The product is described as "in water" so I was half expecting the contents to be half water and half lentils - but I was happy to find the water content much low than I'd cynically predicted. The lentils are basically wet - as if they'd been soaked, drained and loaded into the tin. I dropped the contents into a sieve, to remove any excess water, but that proved to be unnecessary. Straight into the pan next time... Very happy with the purchase - and will definitely be buying again.

Taste great

Living out in the sticks with only a Tesco and Sainsburys in the town I wanted to replicate a curry I had when I was away. Black lentils were nowhere to be seen in the 'super'markets so had to look for an alternative. Amazon was the best bet for me as the delivery was free. I bought the six pack of cans and they turned up next day. That is superb service. The conents of the cans were spot on - give them a shake and put them into a fine sieve and rinsed them well. They made the best Dal Makhani ever. Buy with confidence. 5 stars all the way.

Great tasting, organic and such great value for money. I use these regularly and at £2.99 per can at the supermarket, this 6 pack delivered on a two monthly subscription is a bargain.

Great lentils useful for all aspects of cookery

I bought these upon reading a review by David S saying that they were a bit wet and not drenched in water. If fact theo ones that came are approximately 30% lentils and 70% water and whatever taste they may have had was washed away in the muddy water. Will not be buying again.
