This kit came with three boards, four bolts, four butterfly nuts and twelve washers. There were not assembly instructions that came with it, but it was easy to assemble y just looking at one of the pictures on the advertisment page. This press is strong! The three boards are incredibly strong and smooth laminated bamboo and each board is a stout 3/4 inch thick. Each board is beautifully smooth with nice rounded corners. On the advertisement I understood it to say the bottom of the bolts were recessed into the wood, but not of the boards had a recessed part to make it lay perfectly flat on the table. Not a big deal though. It still works just fine. I was just wondering if I was using the wrong board for the bottom piece. Other presses I've seen just use two boards that clamp down, but this one has three if you happen to want to bind two books or press flowers and plants on two levels. However, unless you take out the two bolts as spaces in the lower level, that section is mainly for thicker books. As far as width, see my photo that shows the max width of a book or item that you can place between the clamp down bolts is 9 inches. If you have 8.5 x 11 standard paper size pages that you want to bind on the regular long end, you are out of luck with tis model. But it states that info in the advertisement. Just make sure you know the max size you need. With the massive strength of this press and how well it is built, it is going to last a really long time. This will really come in handy for putting together custom made homeschool books. I definitely recommend this press.

Does what it needs to do. The boards get wedged sometimes but that’s the only annoying thing about it.

I'm really excited to use this. I've tried to make books in the past using heavy weights with a varying degree of success. This will help to make much better books!
