teaching my 2 year old to tell time
Ok it is small but that is great for a two year olds dexterity (he is 2 years and 2 months old). I like that it has a set hour hand that stays in sync when you move the minute hand. Has standard 12 hours along with 24 hour marks and 60 minute notations. I am working to teach a two year old that is above your average kid so needed this to be detailed. The boy reads and can add subtract and do some multiplication. He can sound out and tell you complex words such as dictionary well you spell it. So teaching him time concepts seems to be a logical next step. He was so excited when he got it and a workbook that we also purchased. This was exactly what I was looking for and it is working out well. It may not be for everyone, some kids could easily snap the hands, but if you have a child no matter what age that is showing an interest in telling time then this is a great learning tool.

Prefect for teaching littles how to tell time!
This simple clock has been a huge help in teaching my five year old girls how to tell time. We've practiced a few minutes every day for two weeks, and they've got it figured out. I also love that it's durable enough the allow them to manipulate the clock hands while learning without a fear of breaking it. My only two negatives about it is first, it's a little small for my personal preference. It's perfect for their hands and learning one on one, but as a former classroom teacher, I can see where it would be challenging to use if teaching in a large group. Second, it has the numbers on the clock for military time. It's not bad, but I had to do a few redirects the first few lessons on which "color"/set of numbers to look at, but really it only took a few times for them to get it. Overall, I love it!

Great School Tool
I bought this to help with my homeschool curriculum and Ireally like this little clock. It is perfect for helping my kids learn how to tell time for school. I really like that it also gives me the ability to teach my kids how to tell time using a 24hr clock. It has been able to stand up to my two toddlers so far so it is definitely a decent quality. One thing I don't really like for teaching is that the hour hand doesn't move independent of the minute hand. It is nice in the sense that it helps teach how the hour hand moves between numbers throughout the hour but it does make it a little more of a pain to try and move quickly from one time to another. But all in all an awesome teaching tool for young children.

Small, but gets the job done
This is nothing special. It's small cheap plastic, but for the price, it gets the job done. I do like the fact that the minute and hour hands are different colors, and there is a little kickstand on the back to hold the clock upright. I'm using it to teach 2 of my grandbabies how to tell time. I would not leave it with the youngest unattended as he would destroy it in a heartbeat. It's only about 4" tall, but even the minute markers are clear and easy to read.

Perfect for children with dyslexia
My 8 year old son has really struggled to learn how to tell time because of his dyslexia. This little clock is great! The hour hand and the minute hand are different colors, so that is incredibly helpful - remembering which hand is which has been a giant struggle for him. “The big hand and the short hand” has been very difficult, but talking about it in terms of color makes it easier for him. Hopefully in the future that will translate to another clock. I also really like how the hour hand is locked in to place depending on what the minute hand is doing. So no matter how he arranges the hands, it is a real time. I also really like how small it is because I can slip it in my purse and we can do bite-size lessons anytime. Some reviewers have complained that it is cheap plastic, but it’s a cheap price! And mine has been through a lot of abuse and keeps on ticking, so to speak.

Very small
Nice & brightly colored, but I expected it to be bigger...I guess I should have read the description better...only about 4 inches wide & 5 inches long...hope my grandson likes it...

These are terrific for young learners! As a bonus, they include a military time counter.
I have two young homeschoolers -- a five and seven year old. We got our first clock as part of out first homeschooling kit and it has lasted us several years. Now they both need clocks, so we ordered a new pair (so we still have a backup just in case). These are available in other homeschool resource sites for twice the price -- not counting shipping, so I jumped at the chance to buy these. Not only are they they same size, and function exactly the same, but they also include an extra set of numbers for teaching military time. We are super-impressed with these and the kids use them all the time to learn analog clocks. I think they can tell time better than I can now. These are strong, durable, and about the size of your hand, so they fit easily into backpacks, supply bags, or the storage clipboards that I use. AMAZING quality for the value.

Small, but worth the money!
Although it is small, it has everything you need to teach your children how to tell time. I also appreciate that it has military time as well. It has and hour and a minute hand. Very cool tool compared to other clocks I’ve seen online. I think this size is the most convenient and practical because it won’t take up a lot of space, unless your child has vision problems then probably this won’t work for you.
