Not for fine, shoulder length hair!
UPDATE 2/25/25 Seller reached out to me and offered a full refund with no strings attached. While their product did not work for my fine, shoulder length hair, I really appreciate a company that handles a less-than thrilled customer in a such a great way. Smart move. Even though it didn’t work out for me, that is totally worth an upgrade to 5-star review. After reading bunches of reviews—I thought this might work for me. Nope. Impossible to get these to stay in fine, shoulder length, bobbed hair. Tried a variety of ways. Maybe I am not smart enough to use them. Debating whether I should hold onto them and wait for my hair to grow longer or just give them to my daughter. It appears the effect would be similar to the old “rag” curls my mom told me about when I was a kid. Back to heat styling and old fashioned rollers.

A Game-Changer for Thick, Long Hair
As someone with thick, long hair, I’m always on the hunt for styling tools that actually work without taking up so much time. These rods exceeded my expectations and have become my go-to for effortless waves and that Victoria’s Secret blowout look. The best part? They were super easy to figure out, I got the hang of using them on my first try. The people that say the fall out, are not actually using them the correct way. That girl in the video review didn’t twist the rods. You have to cross the rods and then they are in place and stay! You simply have to go almost to the end of your hair, making sure you are holding that section taunt and all the way extended with your arms and start rolling. Tucks that little end in while rolling half way and you’re good. I think the majority of bad reviews are all user error tbh. If you’re planning to leave them in for a few hours, your hair should be about 90% dry for the best results. For a quick blowout vibe, you don’t even need freshly washed hair. Just dampen your strands slightly with your hands, pop the rods in for an hour or two while you’re getting ready, and voila! gorgeous, bouncy curls. In my pictures, I only had them in an hour or two on completely dry second day hair, brushed them out and got a nice wavy blowout look. I’ve also done full out curls too for a Christmas party. These rollers stay in place really well and don’t slide around, which was a big win for me when I’m getting ready or picking up my toddlers toys. They’re comfortable enough for daytime wear, but I don’t use them overnight—mostly because they work so quickly that you don’t need to! The curls also last all day, which is impressive for heatless styling. The key is where your place them. If anyone wants a tutorial let me know!! Overall, these are an absolute must-have if you want salon-quality curls without the hassle. They’re easy to use, gentle on your hair, and deliver consistent results every time. Highly recommend! I’m buying another set!

Horrible
Horrible!!!! Don’t waste your time or money! I got these because I had great results with the single rod, but I wanted more volume. I have very long, fine hair, but I have a lot of it. It is also naturally curly, so it holds curls very well. I’ve used other types of curlers for years, so I’m not new to the art of wrapping my hair around a curler. These rods WILL NOT stay in your hair. I spent an hour trying to get them in, but all they did was come unraveled and fall out. There is nothing to grip your hair into place besides thoughts and prayers. The diagram on the back is also horribly drawn and useless. “Wrap your hair tightly around the rod” well if I go any tighter my hair is gonna rip out! Don’t waste your money on this product, it will just leave you pissed off and and irritated while you wait in line to return it at UPS.

Does not work on smooth straight hair
Seller made it right. I could not get either type of these to work at all. I got both types. My hair slipped right out from the satin ones immediately no matter how tight I wound it and my hair is mid back length. The Velcro ones at least my hair sticks to but I could not find any snaps like the product description says and the metal does not hold a shape beyond a slight curve as shown in my picture. So again my straight hair does not stay wrapped even with a bonnet and because they go straight in 2 seconds they are impossible to sleep in. If you have super straight smooth hair then these are not for you.

Great, but get the velvet ones instead
Get the velvet ones instead, but if you insist on these keep reading. These had a bit of a learning curve. I only use 2 according to a placement video I saw on TikTok (I have short hair so I use 1 for the crown of my head and 1 for all the rest of my hair). The satin is great and all but they fall out of my head in the night so here’s the hack girls: use a fuzzy sock (like the ones you get millions of in your stocking for Christmas) and cut a small hole in the toe part. Put the roller in the sock, roll your hair in it, and clip the ends together. (The point of cutting the hole.) Then use a silk scarf, tie it on your head to hold it all in place at night (don’t be afraid to use a few Bobby pins to hold the scarf in place). And voila, you have gorgeous overnight heat less curls. I get so many compliments when I use these on my hair. They’re amazing, and soft so don’t worry about if they hurt or annoy you in your sleep. They won’t. Trust.

Not for short/medium hair or layers
I want to like this so so bad, but this just doesn’t work if you have short/medium hair. Or layers. If your hair is short, it literally will not hold onto the satin jumbo rollers. I also dont like how the design relies on tension to keep it in place. These also aren’t comfortable to sleep on, so when you have a rough night AND your curls don’t come out right at night it just double sucks. I’ve tried multiple different ways, with a bonnet on too and everything, and these just don’t work for me :( I’ve definitely tried better heat less curl methods

VOLUME AND COMFORTABLE TO WEAR
Overnight curls are NEVER easy for me to wear, being a religious side sleeper. I’ve tried so many heartless curlers and find myself sleeping horribly or taking them out after a few hours. These are actually comfortable and I sleep great! These curlers are jumbo size so you won’t get tight curls, but you will get crazy volume and the perfect blowout look! I’ve only used mine on dry hair, but you might get tighter curls that hold longer if used on slightly damp hair with mousse. I love the material that is used on the curlers. It grips the hair well to hold, but is still easy to remove without causing frizz. I’ve had these curlers for a while now and they’ve held up so well! Pro tip I bought a large silk bonnet off here to put over my head while I wear these to sleep to avoid causing any unwanted frizz or kinks.
