I have knees crumbled by arthritis; a one year old knee replacement and awaiting t'other. This Lafuma recliner has enabled me to continue camping.Sitting in a ordinary chair with legs down, does not take the weight off the knees. However, fully reclining in my Lafuma chair, allows my legs to be RAISED. It is more comfortable than my reclining sofa at home. It is more cumbersome than a smaller chair but imho, well worth it. The bag is useful for protecting it during transport. Quite expensive but well made, well padded back and seat. A bit stiff to recline at first but loosens up with time. Just push back with body or use arm rests. Lean forward to sit up. I call it my throne!

I spent the summer of last year eyeing up this lounger after reading the excellent reviews, undecided whether to splurge or not. This summer I decided to go for it and I’m not disappointed!! Lafuma chairs are excellent quality, well made and stylish. This lounger is unbelievably comfortable, I suffer with a bad back so to find something so comfortable makes the expense worthwhile! It’s a little stiff when reclining but I imagine after more use it will be easier. I’d buy another! My husband is 6ft 2” and he’d prefer it a little longer but for me i can’t fault it.

So comfy - you’ll never stay awake!

The product was well packaged and was in perfect condition when I received it.It was delivered a few weeks earlier than expected and is excellent quality and exactly what I hoped for.

I am using this chair to give reflexology treatments. My clients are very happy with the softness of the material and impressed how far they recline ! Feet are high up in the air, which helps my back in the long run. Expensive but worth every penny.

Ordered two of these not really knowing how they would be but learnt that Lafuma are one of the best quality manufacturers of sun loungers.The chair is very easy to open out not taking any effort at all and is very sturdy even when fully relaxed. The quality really is there on this item and the padding is really comfortable. You can either use your body weight or feet to move the chair up and down.I think it's worth the extra money and it's one item that you won't be dissapointed in buying.

Incredibly comfortable chairs. Had already bought two of the XL chairs for uk with the standard material and was so impressed that I bought these and had them delivered to home in Madeira. The padding is so much better than the standard material. Was a little worried that it may be too hot, but so far it's comfortable in temperatures of 30 degrees Lafuma construction is second to none. I had read that the chairs can be stiff to open, but I've had no problems. If I had to criticise, I would say the locking device on the handles is very stiff and doesn't really work, but that doesn't cause any problem. I chose the peacock colour, purely as the cost was much less than the other colours. It really looks very good. Fantastic delivery speed of 4 days.

I ordered this after LOTS of research and there seems to be unanimous agreement from back pain specialist sites that this is the right product to buy for lower back pain relief. I had spine surgery only a week ago and managed to negotiate my way in to the chair then get my husband to help me to recline. I could have happily stayed there all day.It only arrived today so I can't comment on durability, etc but this looks very well made and I'm hoping that the price is reflected in the quality over a long period of time. I'll update if any issues crop up but so far I'm a very happy camper and will be able to sit out and enjoy this wonderful summer we're having.
