I grabbed this Dove Melanin Even Tone Body Wash on a whim. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting anything crazy—I just needed a good body wash that wouldn’t dry out my skin. But this stuff? It actually impressed me. The scent is the first thing I noticed. It’s warm, clean, and feels a little more “grown man” than some of the sweet or floral body washes out there. Not overpowering, but it stays on your skin in a subtle way after a shower. It lathers up really nicely too. You don’t need to use a ton to get that rich, creamy foam. I’ve been using it daily and my skin feels noticeably softer and smoother. I don’t know if it’s the pro-ceramides or whatever’s in it, but my elbows and shoulders aren’t as dry as they used to be. As for the “even tone” claim—can’t say I was expecting miracles, but I have noticed my skin looking more even and healthier overall after a couple of weeks. No weird residue or greasy feel either. Just clean, hydrated skin. This is my favorite dove exfoliating body wash. It is very gentle but effective on the skin and a small amount goes a long way when using it. It has a pleasant smell and the size of the bottle for the money is decent.

I like this soap and was most interested in trying this because it promotes even skin tone. I noticed a bit of fading on a few minor acne scars that I had on my body. It has a great smell but I wish it was a bit more moisturizing so I can use it going into the colder seasons. Overall great smell, and gently evens skin tone. I recommend pairing with a good moisturizer.

I’m so impressed with this Dove body wash! For a drugstore price, it truly feels like a luxury skincare product. The texture is creamy yet lightweight, and the gentle exfoliation plus 5% pro-ceramide serum with BHA leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth, and hydrated after every shower. I’ve incorporated it into my daily shower routine and I can already see and feel the difference. There is a slight graininess to it, but it is not harsh at all. The bottle is generously sized and the scent is subtle and fresh, making it a pleasure to use.

I'm a light neutral skin tone and really struggled with ingrown hairs until I found this product. It solved my ingrown hair problem in a matter of a week! I find that it cleans AND moisturizes effectively and I have definitely noticed a more even skin tone even on my light neutral tone. It's a great value too because I use two pumps per shower with amazing lathering results. Will buy again!

I like the body wash but for me it wasn't a good exfoliater.
