Makes cleaning fun and easy!
I own a 1995 Toyota Camry that I recently got from a family member. The car is very well maintained on the inside, but not so much on the outside. The rims are particularly nasty and the last time I cleaned them, I did it with pure car soap, a toothbrush, and elbow grease (you can guess how long that took). Even then, the rims were still not that clean. I've been a longtime user of Griot's products. They are always pumping out the latest and greatest of products to keep cars showroom clean with the least amount of effect. The heavy duty wheel cleaner does not dissapoint. After the first spray on my rims, the cleaner turned blood red and I could see the dust breaking apart. After that, it was just some simple scrubbing and then rinsing. True, it did not get all of the dust on first application, but it got a huge amount off. This product is definitely the one for you if you enjoy having a clean car. It's easy to use, effective, and not that expensive. As stated before, stubborn brake dust may require some aggitation still, but the product is good as far as getting off every day grime. If I could have any complaint, it would be that it smells a bit funny, but you get used to it after a while and it really is not that bad. All in all, another great product from Griot's! Looking to save time? Looking to get that clean? This one is the one for you with no doubt.

Great at removing brake dust
I only trust Griots Garage products for my Aston Martin. The wheel cleaner works great at removing brake dust and won’t pit or damage your wheels

pH neutral, no iron removers
Weaker side. Agitation required. Wheels are ceramic coated so this pH neutral wheel cleaner won’t strip anything. Great weekly maintenance product. 4 stars due to strength, and a plus for not having iron removers in it.

My Go-To Wheel Cleaner
I've tried a few different wheel cleaners, but this is bomb! Works great - spray on, wait 30-60 seconds, have at the wheel with my soft brush on my cordless drill and done! Rinse and repeat.

Cleans Great!
I use this product to clean wheels as the name suggests. It would be great if I could spray it on, rinse it off and be done, but no such luck. I use a sponge to wipe the wheels and the grime comes right off then. I feel this works better than some other cleaners because the sponge always rinses out completely. I have used other brands where the sponge was left with some black in it, but with the Griot's product the sponge rinses right out, even when it was previously dirty from another brand.

No better than much cheaper general purpose cleaners
After reading so many reviews of high praise for this and other wheel cleaners I thought it was time to try another one after a few years. This had little effect cleaning my wheels and was a waste of money. I hadn't planned on posting a review so it didn't occur to me to take "before" photos, but after seeing how poorly Griot's performed I took 2 "after" photos and posted them above where they appear with the product description and stock photos. This removed very little and worked no better than other general purpose cleaners such as Simple Green or Krud Kutter. Those are good cleaners and much cheaper than this. I purchased this over some other well reviewed wheel cleaners here because you get 35 oz. instead of around 16 and so seemed a better value. But after such poor results from one application I used it over again for each wheel. That still didn't do much though, even using a stiff bristle brush. After doing 8 wheels I have less than half left. Of those 8 wheels only one produced any color change in the product, turning slightly pink in 2 small corners - nowhere near the "gory blood red" claimed by reviewers of this and similar products. Not that I'm subtracting stars for that, but perhaps they've changed something. I let it sit the full 5 minutes each time too. You don't get a sprayer with the 35 oz size either - what you see in the ad is exactly what you get. To be fair, the product description does only claim that it cleans off brake dust and road grime, but any good cleaner will do that. Guess my wheels somehow accrued kryptonite dust adhered with Gorilla Glue? Several of the reviews, however, are so glowing you'd think they never used soap before so I had to offer a reality check here. If your wheels start out looking like mine in the photos above then don't expect much.
