This is the first time I purchased this product. The quality is great, it is soft and easy to work through my hair dry or damp. The scent is amazing and lasts throughout the day. So if you use to much the scent might stand out a bit. The hold is great and doesn't let go unless your hair gets really wet. I like the mostly matte finish as I don't always want that wet, shiny look. Great price as well compared to some of the other products I have tried that were much more expensive and you get a large amount for the price as well.

Revised 2-October-2025 I am altering this review to five stars after careful consideration. First and foremost, this is a superior product. It truly leaves no residue and you can simply wipe your hands after application and it comes right off. It lasts all day in the hair without any stiffness or residue flaking off. My original commentary was more about the smell of oud. As I am accustomed to deep black Arabian oud, I came to the product with a certain expectation, however in reality in smelling other oud Centre products made for the American market, it is 100% consistent with what is out there and what is considered “oud” in the USA. I highly recommend this product on every level. ——- This is a great product; gel like in consistency with no sticky residue. I even used it in my beard and it works fantastically well. I give it three stars for those qualities. With that said, I searched for a men’s hair product that smelled of oud & this is how I came across it. Oud was likely the first thing I smelled upon birth and have used it on my body my entire life. While the product has a nice, woody scent I cannot in all honesty say that it smells like traditional oud on any level. Perhaps it’s a lighter “oud like” version developed for the western market, I don’t know. If you’re expecting a true Arabic oud-bakhour kind of aroma, you will not find it in this product. I’ll continue to purchase it based on its performance but not its scent.

Great hold for all day(stay away from air vents and don’t run your hands through your hair!), love the scent, a little stiff but not irritatingly so, my new go to for now.

For a long time I've been searching for a men's hair cream with a good hold and a decent scent. I'm glad I found Extreme Hold Pomade by VIKING REVOLUTION. Recently I cut my hair super tight on the sides & I left it longer on top. So I couldn't wait to apply some on my hair. I don't understand why some folks are complaining about the smell. In my opinion the SPICE VANILLA is very smooth & subtle. I actually wish it was a little stronger. The extreme hold of this is AMAZING. I have tried spiking my hair before with other creams with no success. With EXTREME I was able to give myself a SPIKED MOHAWK like a pro. And I was able to do it with just a little bit. I'm sold on this Spice Vanilla & I can't wait to try other VIKING REVOLUTION pomades. Great value for your money.

Smells fantastic and works great on my thick, wavy, somewhat coarse/nappy hair. Doesn’t crust or turn white and holds for most of the day. You can use sparingly - not much is needed to be effective.

Nice smell, not an all day hold. I have very fine hair and I just comb it straight back. after a couple of hours in a lite wind. I look like I have a porcupine on my head.

Great product effective and stays in hair and keeps hold all day! Good value for the size and competes with products twice the cost.

Really happy with this pomade! It has a strong hold that lasts all day, but it’s still super easy to style and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. Washes out easily with just water, which is a big plus. The spiced vanilla scent is subtle and smells great. Highly recommend!

Just used it for the first time. The fragrance is subtle but pleasant. Non oily and holds extremely well with only a small amount. So far, my first impression is that this product exceeds its value and expectations by a lot! 10/10 would buy again!

I bought this pomade, looking to get into the 'Viking Revolution' style, and I have mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, the hold is genuinely good. Once my hair is styled, it stays exactly where I want it all day long. The smell is also quite nice, very clean, and manly I enjoy the fragrance it leaves. However, the main issue for me is the texture. It's noticeably greasy. My hair not only feels greasy to the touch, but it also translates into a bit of a personal problem: my wife has mentioned she doesn't like to rub my head when I use this product because of the heavy, slick feeling it leaves behind. While the performance is there in terms of hold, the persistent greasy residue makes me hesitant about committing. I'm using it up for now, but I'm not yet sold on repurchasing this one. It's a decent product, but it definitely has a downside in the feel department.
