Amazing
More then enough yarn. Watch a YouTube video if you cant properly read instructions with pictures. Though messing up on one I completed them all as a beginner and I have alot of left over yarn. Hanging these on my wall

Great craft or hobby!
Bought this kit for my teen daughter who was looking for a new hobby. Initially she wanted to learn to crochet, but that was too hard for her. This punch needle kit was very easy to for her to use, instructions were easy to follow, and she made all these coasters in 2 days!

Not ideal
It is impossible to thread the punch needle. Luckily my friend bought a different kit that had a longer threader. This kit alone has horrendous instructions and is not easy to use. They did turn out somewhat cute but they aren’t usable as coasters due to how you put on the backing. Overall disappointing and would recommend shopping else where for a kit

Not the right equipment
The yarn and templates are awesome, but as a first time user the punch needle does not come with the right yarn threader, and the instructions are not intuitive, with small pictures and confusing steps. I’m pretty disappointed but I have ordered a better punch needle and have watched some YouTube tutorials that will hopefully help.

Fun Entry-Level Craft Kit - Learn a New Hobby!
The media could not be loaded. At first I was going to knock this down a star or two because it is not at the “fine crafts” level; but after starting one of the coasters (the watermelon), I decided that this kit is a good value and easy to use. Plus I think the designs printed on the fabric are nice. They are simple but striking.I have done punch-needle embroidery before using smaller needles, cotton embroidery floss, and fabric with a finer weave. Personally, that is my preferred approach to this craft—but I don’t want to be too snobby about this. The seller put together a complete package for you or a child (older child or young teen—there is a sharp poking tool) to get started on this craft. The punch needle tool they provide works well. Be sure to use the thin wire threader wrapped with the punch tool to feed the yarn into the punch.I just started punching away, not too worried about my method or results. It is turning out pretty cute, and the loops are staying secure on the back, which will become the front of the piece. You have to be sure that the yarn is able to flow freely into the pen stem. Don’t press on the yarn as I found myself doing. Seller says to start on small areas first, so I punched the black seeds and green rind. I may finish with a pink middle because there is some pink yarn in the kit. The yarn seems to be generic acrylic, so if you run out before you finish all eight of these, you can find more if you need it.The kit even includes thread and a small needle (and a threader for it too) so you can tack down the woven fabric into a circle before you stick the backing felt on it. I have not gotten that far on this project yet. If I run into major issues I will update this review. There are yarn/thread clippers included. I expected them to “sorta” work but they work great! Nice and sharp. You need them so you can trim your yarn ends as you go. And did I mention that when you make a boo-boo, it is simple to rip out your yarn and start again? You will have to push the threads of the backing fabric into place if you rip out though because the threads are what hold the yarn when you pull the needle back to the surface.I think you will enjoy this kit. If you don’t pass it along to a kid who will! Hobbies make you HAPPY!

Easy to do and cute!

Cute but bad quality
Cute but not great directions. Also didn’t come with enough red or white thread. Couldn’t finish the watermelon, strawberry, or lime because of lack of thread

Poor Quality
The cloth is cheap and if you are a beginner this is not the one for you. The holes in the cloth are large making it impossible for the stitches to stay in. I would definitely not recommend this item. Very poor quality.
