Yardley English Lavender by Yardley of London for Women Eau De Toilette Spray, 4.2 Ounce

I love this—— the most loviest of smells!

Its hard to believe this is not for sale for $100 or more. I can see why people would be expecting it to smell like soap or lavender oils (since there is not just one type of lavender flower) because it is Yardley. I love analyzing smells against the BaseNotes website, and I think this fragrance has a slightly alcohol scent in the bottle, but transforms once it is sprayed. There is definitely a strong Chanel #5 rose/aldehydes smell from beginning to end of being sprayed on, but there is also that woodsy/earthy bouquet that is melded into this one that will remind you of the best parts of Aromatics Elixir. For the price, I was thoroughly impressed. Will be buying this for other people.

I'm suddenly a fan of any product that has a lavender fragrance. This spray did not disappoint me.

I really like the English Lavender products, however the scent does not last very long. I use it after my shower at night and it smells great when I go to bed. I do not use it during the day as it is not lasting. Good night time fragrance. Deborah

Dear Yardley: You may have been "trusted for generation" but not any longer, for you have deceived your customers by pulling a 'fast one' on them. You changed your English Lavender scent without warning! It is, absolutely, no longer the light, natural and fresh scent of lavender you have provided for decades! I am so disgusted! I ordered a bottle via Amazon and was in shock by the phony, over-powering smell. It is so strong it smelled through the cardboard shipping box! At first I thought the box picked up the strong & unfamiliar scent from the factory, until I opened the bottle. It is no longer a clear spray, but purple in color with a different 'look' to the bottle, let alone a completely different scent. I am sending it back as I cannot tolerate the phony smell. I shopped around a bit more and found another "Yardley English Lavender" perfume that depicts the original look of the spray bottle (as shown here in Amazon)....the one I've been buying for 30 years. So, I figured there must be 2 different lavenders(?) and I ordered what was shown in the picture. Now I have a gold color spray, again with a strong and very different scent than the original Yardley English Lavender, (even different scent than the 1st bottle of the phony knockoff) and with a totally different look than what is depicted in the picture. Now I have to send this one back as well. Shame on you! I found another brand, through another very dissatisfied customer, that still has the fresh and natural scent of lavender. As far as I'm concerned, the name Yardley is synonymous with deception! I hope your hopeful-money-making scheme fails and you lose many of your 'original' lavender-loving customers. I posted a photo of both bottles I received. Notice how different it is from the one shown in Amazon..

I love the frecuencia and I like that is a spray.

I love Yardley English Lavender products, but this body spray misses the mark. The fragrance is not crisp and clean, but rather "powdery" - like a scented baby powder. Plus, the spray container is TINY - child sized is more like it.

Very light and very pretty smell. While my daughter was an invalid and bedridden I kept her room sprayed with this.

als ich mich Anfang 2014 mit der Biografie von Frank Sinatra beschäftigte, wollte ich irgend wann auch Wissen wonach der Superstar geduftet hatte. Etwas irritiert musste ich feststellen das er für seinen Duft nicht viel Geld ausgab, es zu dem auch noch ein Frauen Duft war und ich ab da sehr neugierig wurde wie sich das in der Realität darstellt. Man muss aber noch hinzufügen das Yardley die Produktion in den 70er Jahren einstellte, so das Frank Sinatra die Seife zu diesem Duft nutzte aber auf ein anderes Laveder Wasser aus dem Hause Puig umgestiegen ist, was auch in einem seiner Lieder gewürdigt wurde. Allerdings ist der Puig Duft sehr dünn und hat absolut nichts was man mit einem ausgesprochen guten Duft vergleichen könnte. Wahrscheinlich konnte der Superstar keinen 2.Superstar an seiner Seite dulden, aber das ist nur eine Vermutung! Gedacht getan bestellte ich mir diesen Duft aus dem Hause Yardley, wobei ich im Verlauf weiterer Recherchen herausfand das es sich bei dem Duft eigentlich um einen Unisex Duft vergangener Tage handelt und daher sowohl als auch auf einer männlichen Haut aufgetragen werden darf! Nach dem ich die Flasche ausgepackt habe sprühte ich zwei Salven auf meine Hand und muss gestehen das es mich fast umhaute und ich buchstäblich verzaubert war was ich da zu riechen bekam. Es duftet nach frischem Lavendel mit einer leichten Sandelholz Note. Dezent bleibt der Duft ca 4 Stunden sehr elegant wahrnehmbar und ist absolut nicht Aufdringlich! Ich arbeite im Verkauf und komme mit vielen Menschen in Kontakt. Unglaublich wie entspannt und ruhig die Menschen auf mich reagierten wenn ich mit diesem Duft daher kam. Ich empfehle es auf jeden Fall jedem der gerne mal etwas völlig anderes ausprobieren will und würde mich freuen wenn aus der Skepsis die Erkenntnis folgt das es sich hier um etwas ganz besonderes handelt mit dem man als mann ganz neue Akzente setzen kann!

My wife fell in love with the Deo version that I had gifted to her on her birthday. So on this years birthday, I bought her the EDT version. It's beautifully delicate, sweet yet not overpowering and classy. It does not last very long though and is nearly undetectable after 4-hours. Sustained use does embed the fragrance in the clothes. The Lavender aroma is slightly from intense than the English-Rose version.

I absolutely love this perfume. It has a very nice smell and stays on for quite some time. It also comes in a very lovely bottle <3
