I recently purchased the VVAAGG Flint and steel Starter kit from Amazon, and it has quickly become a staple in my outdoor gear collection. I tested it in different environments, including damp conditions, and I was impressed by how easily it ignited tinder. I like the whole kit it came with, and was able to ignite some dryer lint pretty quickly. It throws some big sparks but the rod seems to be wearing down rather quickly. I don't forsee it lasting that long but it's only for emergencies so at least I'll have it if I need it.

Aside from the weird name, this is pretty awesome! I would recommend tinder if you don't have any dry, but it's been a cold wet winter over here so all of mine was cold and, well... wet. I had dry wood, but yet. It was pretty simple once I set a proper fire. I should have started with better tinder, but this was way better than using matches. So simple. I'm going to get a few more for back-ups and to stick in my car. Very cool!

Sparks well! Just make sure you get through the paint a bit. The large striker helps get a good clean spark.

Worked the first time I used it! I feel very confident having this with me camping and on hikes.

I was advised to get a long-lasting thicker and longer for starters this fits the bill.

With a strike here and a strike there, you have fire! Best to get a buffing wheel to clean off the paint coating first, so it is ready when you need it!

It does the job of creating a fire and all so it fine ! Was not expensive so I’m happy

I havent tried using it yet but it came in a nice little box.
