The Excellent 11: An Award-Winning Teacher's Guide to Motivate, Inspire, and Educate Kids

It was a random Facebook advert that introduced me to Ron Clark and the Ron Clark Academy. I don't usually click on adverts but the school looked amazing. Cue lots of research into Ron Clark and his teaching. This book is fabulous. Ron Clark's writing is both inspirational and useful at the same time. His anecdotes serve to drive the information, rather than forming the book's entirety.

The author speaks of his personal experiences a lot, but if one is a teacher who wants to give students classrooms that can teach them to have confidence in themselves and be lifelong learners long after leaving a classroom, this book is a keeper. Gives great points about what can motivate the inner student so that they will be excited about learning and become lifelong thinkers & learners.

Ótimo qualidade, páginas amareladas, não cansa a vista ao ler. Escrita de Ron Clark flui a ponto de ler o livro de uma só vez. Agrega muito para quem é ou vai ser professor... recomendo!!!

I couldn’t put this book down from the moment I started reading it. I came across Ron Clark by sheer coincidence, when trawling through the internet about a week ago and have just become completely mesmerised by his teaching approaches and ideas. There’s a lot we wouldn’t be able to do in this country, however his work does inspire you to be more creative and innovative with your thinking and teaching approaches. I can’t wait to put into practise some of the ideas I have read about, when I start my new teaching post in September.
