this cutter works extremely well on potatoes and on softer things like cooked vegetables. it will also work well on hard vegatables like carrots and onions if you cut them inot smaller pieces and run them through one piece at a time ( which actually doesnt take that long ). I have found you can use it to cube them if you collect the chip shaped pieces that come out and run them through again. very good product probably better than lever based cutters which in my view dont make much sense physically. only thing I would have wanted is a third cutter size for something like potato wedges. those having trouble with the amount of force being too high its probably coz of 2 reasons related to incorrect use 1. if something catches on the side as it goes through you are going to need to hammer it to go through. make sure what you want to cut is smaller than the width of the cutter. another important point is to ensure the vegetable goes through at the right angle if the angle is awkward thats when it twists as it goes through. this would obviously increase the force needed to push it through. 90 degree angle orientation is best 2 dnt try to cut huge things in one go. if the lever contacts the potato after only 10 degrees of motion relative to its starting point at the top of its motion, obviously its going to get stuck thus with proper use this thing is a joy to use definitely recommend

Overall,really pleased with this.Its really sturdy,hygenic and easy to clean.Copes with small/medium potatoes no drama-any bigger,just chop them in half! Its a big beast and needs a bit of room in your cupboard rather than a cutlery drawer.The Elephant in the room?2 slicing plates provided,the smaller one creates uselessly small chips,even the standard plate produces chips a tad smaller than I would hand-cut.Zyliss-take note-ditch the smaller plate and add a coarser plate for those of us who like our chips cut reasonably chunky!Or at least make a coarser plate available for your pre-existing purchasers.One last note-some reviewers have complained the finished cut chips come out (marginally) curved.Get over yourself folks!

No notes, it works perfectly. It’s easy to use, it’s easy to clean, it will chop the veg very small much easier than a knife would. It’s amazing for the price.

This is a great onion chopper and also works very well on other vegetables. Note: onions are best cut in half, use large cutter for large onions and small cutter for small onions. So far I've used it on onions, carrots, potatoes, leeks, peppers and chilis, which have to be cut into portions that fit on the cutter, obviously. It took a little time to clean out after I cut the chilis, for which I used the point of a knife rather than the little comb, which is a bit too flimsy. Otherwise great product. It's sturdy and the cutters are sharp and it saves a lot of time and tears in case of the onion, which is why I bought it in the first place. I can thoroughly recommend this product.

The concept of chopping food up quicker and easier is great however, the blades became blunt very quickly so took longer and more of an effort. Cleaning it turned into a hassle. I don’t use it anymore as it’s quicker using a knife.

Good for chipping potatoes. Unfortunately the build quality is not as good as previous Models I’ve used. There’s rubber stabilisers detached from unit ant the pins holding it together keep falling out. This makes it a bit unreliable and unstable to use. Yiu start and stop when chipping to replace pins and it rocks where the rubber has peeled off.

This is a great product making any mass chopping quick and easy on a number of fruit or veg. With every push of the top the blade rotates slightly so the more you use the smaller the prices. Once for the chopped comes apart for cleaning, only annoying bit is how time consuming g it can be to really get the blade clean that does not remove but is sufficiently done under a tap and with a brush. Would recommend if cutting up anything in bulk for large meals of for freezer

While you are limited to the length of a potato you can insert, this is the best chipper I've found so far. You must push the potato through in one fell swoop, otherwise you may find yourself jammed. Don't hesitate, just push with all your might all at once and follow through and it'll work like a charm. I cut my potatoes in half lengthwise. And yes, they are as skinny as McDonald's fries. I do wish I could make the chips longer, but given its design, the longest chip you can make is maybe 2.5 inches or so. Nothing beats a steel wall mounted chipper, but those are expensive and hard to find. This does the trick at a reasonable price.

En mi casa a diario se hacen ensaladas bastante variadas y cortar en trocitos cada elemento todos los dias se hace cansino y se consume bastante tiempo. - Con este apoyo la tarea se hace mucho mas fácil y divertida ya que solo tienes que cortar los trozos al tamaño que puedan caber dentro de la parte inferior y a liarse a tortazos jejeje Con unos 12 o 15 golpes es suficiente en la mayoría de los casos. Funciona muy bien con la zanahoria, el apio, el pepino, la remolacha, el ajo. Para otras verduras como pimientos, cebolla, tomates, limón, lechuga y perejil, hay que golpear con mas fuerza y quizá mas veces para dejar un buen resultado. ( El tomate y la lechuga recomiendo hacerlos con cuchillo mejor) Ocupa poco espacio en tu cocina y tanto la cuchilla como el cuerpo y las diferentes piezas estan fabricadas con materiales de buena calidad. Depende de la superficie sobre la que golpees harás mas o menos ruido, pero será solo unos minutos. En general ahorras mucho tiempo y deja un acabado muy uniforme y satisfactorio. Se desmonta y lava muy fácilmente y en 2 minutos lo tienes listo para la próxima ocasión. (Yo uso una brocha tipo tinte para el pelo para limpiarlo bajo el grifo rápida y efectivamente;) Además este modelo va moviendo los trozos que van quedando en las paredes del aparato con cada golpe facilitando su troceado. Por mi experiencia es un producto sobretodo útil y bastante recomendable. Gracias por tu like:)
