U.S. Army Officer Saber
I believe this is a great value for the money. I bought this item because some of my duties are Ceremonial in nature but I don't do enough of them to justify paying over 400 dollars for the real deal.I was surprised by this product, it has weight to it and heft. The blade feels balanced and it is well connected to the handle. Very shiny saber cover, no more long nights with a rag and a can of Brasso. The saber does have engraving on the blade and to be honest, it isn't the best as far as detail goes, but, from a distance, nobody will notice the blade. It cost me more to purchase a saber chain and a saber guard then it did for this saber. I put on my Dress Blues and hooked the saber up to my Ceremonial Belt and it would absolutely pass inspection. If you want a great looking/feeling saber at a fraction of the cost for display or for military duties such as weddings, funerals, parades and so forth, this saber will serve you well.Go Army

Nice Replica Saber
This is not the OFFICIAL saber sold by a company in Washington DC but it is an acceptable copy for those who want if for a wedding or a gift or just to mount on a wall for memorabilia. But bear in mind, it is 6 times cheaper. Yes it is made in China and it is stamped (cast) there near the hand guard. I solved that problem with a micro engraver from my local cheap tool store. Using the micro carbide ball on the engraver I obliterated the word China and it is not just a tiny finely ground area that is rally unnoticeable. As a Vietnam Era Vet I just had to take that off. Another problem area had to do with the casting of the hand guard. One side had a bit of "flash" metal that was irregular and I removed the nut from the guard and slid it off and touched that up with micro file. Back on and it is perfect. Getting it engraved is no simple task as I could only find one engraver in the Pittsburgh area who could accommodate such a long item in their machinery. I am having my name and rank placed on the saber and my name, branch and commission date on the scabbard. The engraver I finally found said that they have done quite a few of these and this would not be their first attempt! LOL

Good for a JROTC Drill Team
We needed the army officer saber for our JROTC Drill Team Commander. Although we'd prefer "Made in the USA" the difference between $325 and this price made it a no brainer. Our Commander is 17 and a responsible young man so we didn't expect the sword to be abused and took a chance on this one. He's been practicing with it almost daily for the past month. Yes he has dropped it a number of times, but no damage. We have been to one competition and there were no issues with the judges (they never really got a close look at it though). The sword itself looks like the real deal and has similar weight/heft. Definitely meets our requirements and I would recommend to any JROTC unit.

JROTC Ceremonial Saber
I am a Junior ROTC Instructor. We purchased this Saber because of the Price... It is well worth the money... Our Armed Drill Team Commander used this Saber every day during practice and used it at the Nationals in Daytona Beach... It is very durable and is identical to the $300 versions. After our excessive use the handle does begin to feel a little loose at the grip, but it is still secure.

Awesome Saber
Clean Saber, no rust or corrosion. Cane in a box with packing penuts. The blue slip cover for the saber is cheap material but if its on display then you dont need it. I had a engraving shop put laser printing on the saber I bought. Looks awesome! I will be buying more!

nice army sword
Great price for this sword. Top quality at a low price. My cadets love them. For is price you can't beat it. It's not the quality of Marlow White but then again there's cost like $500

Not a Hattori Hanzo, but it will do...
Needed sabers for a military wedding, and for ceremonial purposes these are perfect. Purchasing from Marlow White runs about $350.00 per saber, which is great for a single, but not when you need to buy in bulk. Happy with my purchases; they're light, reasonably well-made, and are perfect for a wedding, cutting a cake on the Army's Birthday, or if you're at home and just wanna get weird. Overall, happy with this purchase. Thanks Mr. Bezos!

Cheap sabers
I ordered seven. One is going to my son (engraved) and the others will go to his groomsmen as a gift. Before I go into some of the issues I had, let me preface that with if you're looking at these sabers, then you're probably in need of a saber substitute and care less about aesthetics. The alternative is to pay $300 plus for authentic sabers and that wasn't something I saw myself doing. So if you're looking to use these as ceremonial sabers for say a wedding, then this will suffice -- barely. Maybe, if you get a good one, you can put it in a shadow case and offer it up as a gift.....but that’s a serious maybe.Bottom line, these sabers are not perfect, you will see some scuffs near the handles and from a first person view. To be fair, the seller wanted me to return all of the ones that had scuffs but I needed them for a wedding so I'm stuck with them. He did give me a partial refund on the very first one that I had engraved ($30). Also, ALL of the sabers I received have some measure of scuffs of various sizes and intensity.I will say that I doubt you'd be able to see the imperfections from a far but I'm a bit frustrated regardless. I don't think the seller inspects these sabers so understand this if you buy. Also, though the seller was speedy with correspondence, he could have done more on the other six sabers. Returning all of the sabers is a mess in itself. The boxes they come in are not meant to re-purpose for shipping so even if I had considered returning them, I'd have to contend with that mess.I gave 3 stars because they meet the need but I can’t overlook the imperfections, regardless of price.
