This wearable urinal contraption works for my husband. You must take time to properly fit it. Make sure the leg straps are snugged. I will put washcloth under the strap in the back. Gives some protection to the skin. Take time to fit it properly in groin creases of the leg. Also a tighter pair of underpants we find very helpful. He is using it also while in his chair. I mainly hand wash it but have found the contraption washes nicely in the washer machine and can handle the dryer very well. I will shove a thin wash cloth stuffing it in the urinal cup to keep its shape. We have more than one, so we rotate.We do not use the bag. I have a plastic waste basket ht 1 ft, and connect the 2 urinal tubes together and let it drain into the basket. Works well for us. Plenty of tubing to turn from side to side. We give it a 5 star simply because it works well for us. Again you must take your time properly fitting it to the body.We use Puregreen24 disinfectant from Amazon to eliminate any urine order. Doesn't take much, we even wash the contraption with it .Add some in the bag to kill urine order.

This item works by gravity, meaning it is good only standing or sitting. If you have OAB and want to use it at night you are out of luck. They coild have made that clear in their description. I only looked at it so was able to return it

Surprised at all the good reviews. This leaked like crazy--the bedding and blankets were soaked the next morning. I think it leaked out the sides while he was lying down. Maybe this works if you are upright?

This was the best option for my dad with a new hip... and gout flare up... 🙄. He was afraid let loose... but when he did it was FANTASTIC! PROBLEM SOLVED!

I would still wear incontience underwear, like Depends or Assure over the device...I sleep in a recliner SO not laying down flat. (In-Between).That being said, this thing takes a little "finigling" to fit the individual and there might still be a little leakage around it. Also, didn't even mess with the bags included.This isn't really a portable/wearable external catheter. (Like with a leg bag attachment) I simply "routed" the drain hose (Good Material btw!) into an old milk-style 1 gallon jug at the base of my chair...Included hose was just long enough by about 6 to 8 inches.I actually got some sleep the first time I used it, AGAIN, in a slightly altered state.BTW, the velcro straps don't really hold...I'm a 40 waist-band...Pretty much, I'm only using the "cup" and the hose...Under my underwear, it's stayed in place pretty well all night long, the straps untethered...Overall, it's helped...Just far from a perfect solution which I believe, none of these "kits" offer "perfection".
