Rockport Rope Doormats 2034224 Indoor & Outdoor Doormats, 20" x 34", Tan

The Rope Doormat looks great at my back door entry. The size is perfect. The matt is soft, but sturdy and easy to clean. One of the best door mats I have had in years.

I had been looking for a while for a doormat without a rubber backing which always seems to leave marks that are hard to remove. When I saw this mat I liked it right away but I wasn’t sure if it would work well, it looked a bit I sturdy to me. After looking at it 3 times I decided to get one - and I am in love! It looks great, it holds up very well, no slipping at all, it cleans shoes well and can be cleaned easily under a hose if needed. I plan to get a second one in the spring for my deck.

This doormat is gorgeous and even though it is made of rope, it is extremely soft and comfortable on your bare feet. Which was an awesome surprise since I figured it would be rough. Even though I have not washed it yet, I have shaken it out to get the sand and dirt off and it shakes easily and lets go of the dirt so you aren't shaking it forever to get it clean. This is an absolutely amazing doormat, do yourself a favor and buy it, you won't be disappointed!

The texture of the mat wasn’t what I was expecting, but it’s turned out to be an effective door mat. The ropey design makes it very effective in catching dirt from shoes. Most door mats I’ve encountered are stiffer, and this one has a soft feel when you step on it. Our dog refused to step on the mat for several weeks until she got used to the texture. Overall, we’re pleased with the mat.

The rope is too soft and it is a loose weave. You really cannot wipe your feet on this, it just squishes around. A doormat needs to be somewhat firm. Other rope mats I have are made from marine rope, which works much better. That is what I thought I was buying. It looks nice, and should be easy to clean as the instructions say put it in the washing machine, but being able to do that is just another indication that it is not useful as a doormat.

This is a nice looking mat with good braiding, but it should have a stiffer, more rigid texture for use as a floor mat.

I bought this to replace a many-years-old doormat that was falling apart. It's heavy enough to stay in place, yet flexible enough to lift and clean easilt. It appeats to be very durable. I'm pleased with my purchase.
