Osprey Hydraulics Bite Valve Cover Water Reservoir Accessory

I love this thing. Easy to install and keepa it clean. It is a little sung on my osprey valve but that makes it secure. I did break one but that was only cause I slammed it in a door...

The cover will not stay on the bite valve. It is has a very loose fit and just falls off. Actually, you are better off if it does fall off. It creates so much space around the bite valve that more dirt and dust collects around the valve like a bucket. I have read that there was an older cover design for the Osprey bite valve that does actually work so I will see if I can find one. Maybe the positive reviews are for that version?

I'm an avid mountain biker and needed a bite valve cover for my two hydration packs. These are compatible with I assume any HydraPak made bladder and seal for those of you that don't know (HydraPak is the OEM for many companies Osprey, USWE, Evoc, etc.). This fit securely and have not worked/wiggled loose on tough/technical downhill rides, cross country, or going OtB. Overall I have no complaints, would recommend, and would buy again should the need arise (I currently own 2).

I haven’t used the product yet on a hike but so far, it seems to fit okay. A little on the loose side. The cap would come off by itself a few times just sitting there in my room. I had to really push down on it to stay on it. The set up was easy. What I don’t understand why the company didn’t included this cap with the $50 or $60 bladder I purchased from them. It’s a rip off to sell this as extra.

Kind of pricey and a little annoying that hydration packs don't come with these automatically but this is a must have to not always be worried what your hydration mouth piece is touching when transporting. You have pull off the bite valve to attach but that is not difficult since you have to do that when cleaning anyway. Must buy only because they don't come with a cover.

If this is really made from Osprey, then it is disappointing. It fits my Osprey hydration pack but very loosely. It does the job of preventing the bite valve from getting dirty but it sits tilted like a home made one. Using it, but not proud.

I loved the protection it provides for the mouthpiece. I traveled to Turkey and I cannot begin to tell you how many times my mouthpiece would have been in the dirt when my backpack was taken off! I was VERY thankful for this cover.

I was so happy that finally osprey has a cover for their camel water bag mouth piece. But I have an older model camel water bag and this mouth piece does not fit it - it’s too narrow and the connector to the hose too short . It ought to be sold together with the mouth piece that fits it .
