This us a very fine powder, with no odour. When mixed with cold water I found even mixing quickly with a spoon it didn’t dissolve fully and lumps were left floating around the top of the liquid, I have to use a mini coffee milk frother to get it mixed up properly. The tub says fine mixed with water, but the listing contradicts this a little by saying it doesn’t dissolve in water and so should be added to smoothies or yoghurt etc, come on seller – which is it? When mixed with just water, it is really bland, to me it tastes like chalk would if you were to eat it, so is much better in a fruit juice. I did find in just water, by the end of the glass I found the taste and gloopy sludge in the bottom of the glass a bit unpleasant. Better to drink it all straightaway. I also add into food as the instructions say you can, which for me is so much easier than faffing about mixing it into a liquid. A 1 scoop portion gives 5g of fibre, which isn’t an awful lot when you consider the recommended intake for an adult is 30g per day, so if you take a two-scoop portion it’ll cost around £26 per month, which I consider a bit on the pricey side.

I add it to my protein shakes and it really helps to thicken them. Also doesn't affect the flavour of the shake. Blends well just using the protein shaker.
