Works very well and has a pleasant taste. Very pleased with the product.
It stops heartburn quickly, and is a great natural alternative to medications.

Just as I'd hoped--effective & convenient
Update: I'm back after using this product for about 2 months to purchase some more For an upcoming trip. I just noticed that many of the negative reviews are mentioning texture or flavor. Just wanted to say this is a functional gum, where you can get the benefits of a reflux remedy in a very easy to carry form. Yes the flavor doesn't last a long time ( which I find to be the case with most gums anyway) and if you chew it cold it can be a bit crumbly. I warm it up for a minute or so in my hand sometimes, but I honestly don't mind the temporary crumbly texture. It comes together really quickly and it does its job as an alginate. That's what I'm after! I really like the gel and hoped this product would be effective as well. It is! Easy to have in my purse or pocket when I need it in a pinch. I got the tropical flavor and it's tasty.

Hard to chew
Unfortunately, this product did not work for me . The gum was extremely hard to chew, which was difficult since I already have trouble with chewing. The flavor disappeared in less than a minute and it provided no relief for my acid reflux symptoms. Considering the high price , I was very disappointed. not reccommended.

Pricey
These work great for mild reflux. I liked the sugar free and more natural ingredients to help with reflux. The texture of the gum is good, however, after about 10 minutes, the gum is hard and needs to be discarded but it helps with the reflux, and the reflux doesn't come back right away. I have GERD - so this is good during the day as a quick relief. The price is high. It is a box of 30 at $22. That means each piece is 73 cents - a bit pricey.

It works, but is too stiff and expensive for me
I’m writing this review while experiencing some of my post-meal LRPD symptoms. I’m chewing the Tropical Soothe flavor gum for the second time. We’ll see by the end of the review if it helped! First off, the pieces are huge. They’re more cough drop size than average chewing gum size. The pack has three blister sheets with ten pieces each. Between the size of the gum and the blister sheets, I’d rate the portability of this gum as 1/5 compared to standard gum. It’s just not something you’d throw in your pocket, and there’s no way to take a single piece like you can with most other gums. The first few chews were filled with tropical flavor, and I was daydreaming of drinking an adult beverage on a sunny beach in Mexico. Unfortunately, the flavor didn’t last long. It quickly became chalky and then faded to the base, mostly tasteless gum, within the first 2-4 minutes. I suspect the outer layer of the gum (including the flavoring) is the alginate, which is meant to dissolve quickly. While the inner part is just a natural chewing gum. I don’t know that for sure, but that’s my guess. The inner chewing gum is more on the tough side, which seems typical for more natural gums. I’d rate this as a 4/5 on the official (not actually official) gum stiffness scale, with 1 being the most chewy and 5 being the most stiff. At this point in the review, I have noticed that my symptoms have mostly subsided, so that’s encouraging. However, I think the standard Reflux Gourmet teaspoon would have resolved my symptoms more completely. Overall, I’d rate this gum 3/5. I factored in the portability, flavor, stiffness, and also importantly, the price. It was neat to try, and I’m happy to see Reflux Gourmet continuing to innovate, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again. It’s just too expensive, bulky, stiff, and flavorless after a few minutes. I’ll stick with the full alginate tube or the travel packs, as well as my favorite chewing gum, in the future. If Reflux Gourmet makes a version 2, I’ll definitely check it out, though! I’m a long-time happy customer and am willing to take chances on any of their future products.

Very Effective!
I was recently diagnosed with Bile Reflux. Something GERD medications do not help. It was recommended that I take alginates and that's exactly what Reflux Gourmet is. If I tend to overeat, even just a little, this has been my hero. I'm not going to say the gum has great flavor, but it absolutely works. I pop a piece in my mouth, chew it for a while, then throw it away. The alginate performs as a barrier on top of my stomach keeping the reflux in my stomach, vs. causing any heartburn. It's not overly sweet and has a light berry flavor. You can just use this when you need it, it's not something you have to take on a daily basis.

Effective for my LPR
Two years ago, out of nowhere, developed LPR (silent reflux). Would have horrendous symptoms during day or night. Was especially problematic when occurred at work. So grateful found this gum product. Truly helps. Use the berry flavor. Worth the money considering the pain and misery i was in. Better now but still keep supply always with me for outbreaks.

Too too hard
I hadn't had gum in years due to my acid reflux so I tried this. I like the flavor but it's hard. It starts hard, as expected and barely gets chewable for 1-2 minutes then it's too hard for me to continue. BUT i do like having it in my purse for when I want gum . . . for a very brief time. Not worth the costs.
