This is a Crimson Trace laser for my M&P Shield in 9mm. I have Crimson Trace lasers on several of my guns. They work flawlessly. With this gun there are two main choices (I am sure there are other choices out there that I don't know of). This Crimson Trace or the Lasermax. With the Lasermax, you have to operate the on/off switch up next to the laser at the front of the gun under the muzzle. The Crimson Trace is much easier to use, the on/off is right under your middle finger under the trigger guard. All you have to do is squeeze the grip - which is exactly what you do when you shoot anyway. Install was 1-2 minutes, you just pop the included battery in and snap both sides of the crimson trace laser on both sides of the trigger guard and screw in the two provided screws. Easy. I felt dumb after watching a youtube video on how to do it. There are many holsters as well that are made for this firearm with the crimson trace, both for concealing IWB or OWB. Good luck!

Nice and bright. Fits the shield perfectly. Design makes it look like its an original part of the gun. My problem is ive had an issue w it not turning on a couple times. But it comes back on after firing a round. Seems like i shouldnt have any quirky problems for the price. Edit: I contacted crimson trace and they had me send it in for repair. A couple weeks later they sent me a new one at no cost and its working well so far. Edit mar 2018: After using this laser for a while I love it. I can rapid fire a whole clip, keeping a 3-4in group from 15-20ft away. And thats done without squinting or looking down the sight. I find that im firing my gun differently and with a lot more confidence (Ive been shooting for 20 years). Both eyes open, gun just below my direct line of sight. It holds zero very well and the green dot is well worth the money over a red dot in daylight. Buy this laser! Edit: august 2018 The battery went low, called CT. The human factors engineering was very well done on this product. It is very easy to use and intuitive. I had concerns that the activation switch would take up too much valuable grip space since the frame on the Shields are so short. No problems with this. Like all other Crimson Trace products this one seems as reliable and well designed. Fit was perfect and it attaches like it came from the factory that way. Very happy with the product. As for lasers in general (non-military application): They make it very easy for beginning shooters to see what they are doing and what affect they're having on getting hits/accuracy. Lasers are a very valuable training tool in this regard. For myself, I am hesitant to use this as anything other than a training tool since I am catching myself slipping into bad habits while using it. Example: I find myself touching the shot off as soon as the laser dot is on mark, regardless of whether I'm in a good stance or if the weapon is at eye level. This isn't a problem unless you start shooting non-laser equipped guns and you find you have sloppy presentation because of the short cuts you learned from the laser.

I like that it was an easy install... Only one dislike, had to zero it in but they said it was zero in up to 50ft. It was off by 2 clicks. But it works GREAT after the adjustment...

I am very happy with this laserguard. It is very quick and easy to put on. It's accurate right out of the box but is adjustable. The green laser light is fantastic!! It is sooooo much easier to see than the red laser light. I had it outside in bright sunlight and could still see the laser dot at a pretty good distance. It is a little more costly to get a laser that is green as opposed to red but it is worth the extra $$ if you can afford it. I conceal carry and feel this laser gives me an added advantage for accuracy should I ever find myself in a situation that I need it for self defense.

Install was very easy. Out of the box at 10 yards it was just 2 inches low but centered perfectly. Using the supplied allen wrench I got it zeroed in fast. Laser is BRIGHT green. I pointed it at a tree in my backyard about 20 yards away in the middle of the afternoon and I could easily see it. I have experience with red lasers and this is much brighter. Looks like it could have came from the factory like this. Definitely doesn't look like an 'add on'. Comes with free batteries for life too! Highly recommend.
