I bought this device for a grease fitting on a mini excavator that had become blocked with hard grease and was groaning when loaded. Try as I might, I could not get a grease gun to load new grease into the bearing. I loaded this little beauty with simple 3 in 1 oil (needs to be non-aerosol to avoid trapped air bubbles). It attaches easily to the grease nipple and then tap with a hammer fairly gently. The plunger went in so far and then stopped, refused to go further no matter what I did. Then detached, thinking it hadn't worked, attached grease gun to give it a try and Hey Presto! completely fixed, grease flowed no trouble. Absolutely delighted and will no doubt get me out of a fix again in future. Recommend ++

received and immediately used with success. removed grease nipple and used the unit to make sure it was clean. refitted the clean nipple and used unit to clean out blockage, worked a treat. i used motor oil without issues, remember to apply oil and turn upwards to clear out any air before using. anyway very happy customer.

This tool worked very well to open up a couple of grease zerts on my tractor. Easy to use. Nice case to store the tool.
