Best Gramma Find EVER
When my daughter, now two, was first learning to eat by herself, my mother-in-law brought over a box of some weird food called Mum-Mums. I wasn't sure what to think until I saw my daughter eating them. All by herself. Shortly thereafter, we went house hunting. Instead of me handing her Cheerios every two seconds, I was able to stick a Mum-Mum in her hand and keep her happily occupied without the need for my constant attention. I had these on subscribe and save for months until my daughter could eat just about anything. Just a few months later, I renewed my subscription because my son is now old enough for them (9 months). YES!!! The kid loves them. I'm not gonna lie--my son is pretty high maintenance. He whines and cries for me all day long . . . until I give him a Mum-Mum! Whenever he starts to really wail, my two year old says, "Mommy, he needs a Mum-Mum!" Instant smiles and blessed silence. Mum-Mums are baby friendly, dissolve easily, taste great (I won't feed my kids anything that I wouldn't eat), and are fabulous for snack time anywhere. The only person to have a problem with these is my husband, and he's only upset because my son learned to yell "Mum-Mum!" before "Da-Da." What can I say--the kid knows a good thing when he sees it!

GREAT first snack for baby!
My 6 month old daughter LOVES these. I was, at first a little apprehensive to give them to her, as she gums them so hard she often breaks pieces off of them. I used to sit right next to her as she gnawed on them but as she is getting older she is chewing them more and can navigate them quite easily. Rarely she bites off more than she can chew and i just scoop it out of her mouth. They arent very messy, in my opinion, and are much easier to clean then the biter biscuits or arrowroot cookies. She likes all of the flavors, especially the veggie. She actually kicks her legs excitedly when I get them out of the package for her. I find they are cheaper to buy in bulk on Amazon than at Target, etc. The only downfall is they are not very portable as they snap and break with any pressure. These cannot be thrown in a purse or diaper bag (unless all you carry is packing peanuts) without breaking into a hundred pieces. OVerall a great product for eating at home.

Be careful - they're addictive for babies AND moms!
I recently found these rice rusk cookies at my local WalMart, and was immediately drawn to the fact that they are nearly the only thing I could find for babies that does not contain any wheat, which I am trying to limit in my toddler son's diet. The easily-graspable size and loud CRUNCH were an instant hit with him, and I have no qualms about handing him one without the necessity of watching him like a hawk to be sure he doesn't choke on it. I like to try the stuff I feed to my baby so I know what it tastes like, which turned out to be a mistake with these... because I love them! They are light and airy, mildly sweet and browned just a tiny bit which adds to the flavor. I now find myself looking for excuses to 'help him finish them up' (i.e. Now that the package has been opened, they'll go stale in the next 15 minutes if they're not all eaten right now!) I have a friend whose 9 month old is ready to try chewable foods, but mom is too afraid she will choke - I'm going to recommend these to help the transition proceed safely! I was disappointed to find only two boxes left on the shelf during my last shopping trip, so signed up for Amazon's subscription service.

Love the crackers, kids not so hot on the apple flavor
I rated this a 5 because I really like this brand of crackers. My older kids can enjoy sharing a snack with the baby (2 crackers/sleeve). They easily dissolve with a little saliva and mashing of gums for the young ones. And why my older kids like them is a question I can't answer. My only caution is watch out putting these in the diaper/travel bag, I have had several turn to crumbs after a day of travel when they migrate to the bottom of the bag. The kids have had the original many times over the years and always liked it. I thought I would try the apple flavor -- not as big of a hit. This is my test to see how the kids like something new. The boxes are at kid level in the pantry, the original and apple flavor boxes were opened on the same day and left on the shelf. The original is now completely gone and they are starting to work on the apple. I think my kids just did not like the apple flavor -- I still stand by the fact that these are great crackers.

Great treats for a growing baby
We started to give these to my son at around 5 months and he loved them they worked great because not only did he like the taste he enjoyed playing with them and it helped in his dexterity as well as practicing depth perception. We bought a case through S&S and I have to say that is the only way you should buy these. We are still buying cases of these and will continue to. A few precautions, make sure that you are there when your child is eating these are they break off easily and your child can get too large of a piece in their mouths. Also I think the packaging says they are a no mess food well that is far from the truth. They do create a mess so be prepared and they stick to everything when they go from a babies slobbering mouth to dry. I have found them on my shirt later in the day after a morning snack so be prepared. I have to say though this is my favorite snack to give our son since its healthy, decently priced and he absolutely loves them.
