Love it! Perfect for large or heavy books such as the deluxe edition of Katabasis where the premium paper needed for the detailed sprayed edges made the book much heavier than normal. I love that it's all wood with no plastic but or metal gears (with the exception of the little arms). It looks stylish and will fit in well with any decor. This book stand is lightweight but sturdy on a lap, which is what I primarily got it for. If you need to move the stand, I do recommend always lifting from the flat part. It's just easiest. The arms to hold the book open are flexible but have enough tension to keep the book in place, and the tips are gentle on the page and won't leave indentations. (If you do find the arms are too tight you can loosen the screws a bit). The adjustable arm in the back is pretty secure and stable as well. They also sent replacement tips for the page arms. Very happy with this! 😊

Well made. Deep enough to accept a large book. Page holders are well made and strategically positioned. Not complicated and very functional for a variety of applications. Attractive and not bulky. Made of wood and sturdy

This is perfect. It holds a nice thick music book for playing the guitar. I wish I would have found it years ago. It’s beautiful and nice quality. It folds up and stores in a drawer. ❤️❤️❤️

I’m a big reader, and I read everyday at work at lunch, so having a hands free device is a must. I had a nice folding plastic clip device that served me well for a few years before it finally broke. I saw this and gave it a try as a replacement. I’ve only been using it for a week now, but I love this thing! It’s well made, sturdy, holds even thicker books open (400+ pages). And it’s portable, which is a must for my needs. Wish I had gotten one of these years ago!

This is an attractive and well-constructed book stand; I bought it for holding hardcover novels, as they tire my hands and forearms. The measurements diagram did not indicate the projection of the support ledge, so I went by reviews, which suggested this holder accommodates larger texts and other hardcover books. Unfortunately, it did not hold my roughly 1,000 page, 2+ inch 'test' hardcover well. Pages drooped and slid off the support ledge at each end. The page holders were not quite able to compensate for this. The max projection of the support ledge is 1.75" (see photo). This is larger than many book stands of this sort, but it does taper in a bit at each end. I borrowed a hack from a different book stand review, and put a wood ruler at the base of the book, right on top of the ledge (see photo). This extends the effective length of the ledge just a bit where it counts, at the ends, creating much better support for my bulky book. Once the book is secured with the extended base aka ruler, the book stand sits very comfortably on my lap. It feels stable. The stand has a full-width base, necessary for stable lap use; most stands do not. I will probably use one of those squishy, U-shaped neck pillows if I want to elevate it further in my lap. Lovely piece...just not for thicker hardcovers without a little tweaking.

This is a well-made stand that folds almost flat for easy transport. I have been very pleased with the quality and functionality.

This is perfect for changing the angle of a book or tablet. It's lightweight, folds away and sets up in seconds. It holds a very heavy and large book with no slipping.

This is very practical: when you set the angle it stays put for the time you’re using it and the little arms hold your book quite well so you can be hands-free when reading. I’ve had similar things that were a bit lighter in weight, but they were harder to adjust and didn’t hold the book so well, but I wouldn’t describe this holder as heavy. Being wood and metal it’s relatively sustainable, it’s sturdy and I expect it will last well. Good product, recommended, thank you.

Der Buchständer ist sehr gut auch für leicht motorisch behinderte Menschen geeignet. Die Buchseiten werden durch die Haltefunktion gut in Position gehalten, lassen sich aber trotzdem einfach umblättern. Auch im Bett ist er gut geeignet. Meine Mutter hatte einen Schlagabfall mit eingeschränkter Bewegung besonders eine Hand. Sie kommt damit sehr gut zurecht und ist froh diesen Buchständer als Lesehilfe zu haben. Außerdem sieht er gut aus und ist leicht in der Anwendung. Ich kann ihn sehr gerne weiter empfehlen.empfehlen.
