TISDLIP Extension Lead 4 Way Switches Plug Extension with 1.8M/5.9FT Cable, Multi Socket Home Electronics, Mountable Power Strip, White

I recently discovered the TISDLIP Extension Lead with Switch, and it has been a fantastic addition to my workspace. It’s the only extension lead I could find that allows you to mount it with screws, which was perfect for my needs as I wanted to fix it underneath my electric study desk. The ability to mount it provides an extra layer of convenience and keeps my workspace tidy. The quality of this extension lead is superb. It feels sturdy and well-made, with a robust build that assures durability. The design is very user-friendly, with separate switches for each socket, making it extremely functional and convenient to use. The 1.8M length of the power strip is just right, providing enough reach without being cumbersome. The fitting is excellent, and the size is ideal for accommodating multiple plugs without overcrowding. It does exactly what it’s meant to do and performs reliably. I was so impressed that I ended up purchasing three more of these. The first thing to note here is this socket is most definitely NOT surge protected. There are no components inside which would enable this function. It is a straight forward no-nonsense extension socket. I see some reviewers are giving five stars and stating that it surge protected, it is not. Surge protection requires an electronic circuit to clamp down on electrical surges before our delicate appliances get them and this extension only has a fuse in the plug - which is certainly not surge protection. I was aware before buying that this was the case so I'm happy with that. I bought this socket in white, with a view to shortening the cable considerably to wall mount near an existing wall socket. This is very easy to do with the aid of a triangular security screwdriver bit - removing the clear purple section covering the LNE terminals. There is even a cable cutting and stripping guide written on the rear of the socket (see photo). Obviously only attempt this if you really know what you are doing!! I decided to check out the build quality and went the whole hog, removing the whole cover to inspect the quality of construction - bang goes my warranty! It really is very well constructed. All leads to resistors and mini neon bulbs are insulated with sleeving and solder joins to the live and neutral bars are sound. All bars are good quality and plug terminals are gripped soundly but not over tightly. The plastic of the casing is great quality and not at all flimsy. I took some photos for interested parties. The socket is supplied with some fuses (13A, 10A, 5A and 3A). The plug is supplied fitted with a 13A fuse. Rawl plugs and screws are supplied for wall mounting. Punch out the hole cover plugs from the rear with a thin screwdriver and you have the holes ready for marking and drilling. The switches work very well and are a nice touch giving the ability to switch off certain sockets without cutting the power to all. There isn't a CE mark on the socket but there is one on the box - not really sure what that means. Anyway - excellent value, quality socket which looks great too!

Seems to be well made, plugs are tightly held and switches work well. Individual lights to indicate that an outlet is on is useful but another one for power to extension would help. Wall mounting by screwing through body is a good idea as the ones that hang on the screws are less stable. Wanted one where I was able to change cable as I needed a 3.5m lead. This was very easy to do. It is a good idea to supply a spare plug and fuses but it is a shame that the spare plug supplied is black as I then had to buy a white one. Otherwise would have been 5*.

Sockets and switches work nice

This wasn't that expensive but had a good quality feel and look. Having the switches was a positive as you could turn items off easily when not in use rather than taking out the plug. Lights to let you know which socket was live, very useful. Overall build quality was good and should last a long time.

I needed a switchable wall-mounted gang socket, and initially bought a cheap one off eBay but the rear mounting cutouts (the "lollipop" shaped cutout) were upside down, and therefore it was totally unmountable... so heavy sighing etc. So I went completely the other way & bought this as it looked quality & had a price I was prepared to go at for a quality item, plus it had pass holes for through-the-body mounting. Anyway, I can confirm the item is robust, aesthetic, sturdy etc, but a note of caution is that you need to purchase some Size 6 pozi X 2" alarm 4.5mm X 50mm "pan/dome head" screws as the mounting holes are v narrow. I've got a healthy supply of miriad screws at home and had to grab these off eBay to get a small cheap quantity to finish the job, I defy most people to have these on hand. Anyway, it's up and unlike the standard lollipop cut out way of mounting gang sockets, this isn't going anywhere soon so ultimately worth it I think. Anyway, 5 stars it is because I'd probably go this brand again...

Good value, works according.

Have been using this now for a very long time, and it's superb, both in design and in usage. The innovative, "double-sloping" design means that all plugs and adaptors inserted into the sockets are kept clear of the rocker switches that turn each on and off, meaning those switches are very easy to access, without trying to prod the fingers in-between those plugs and sockets. What a great and simple idea! Well done, TISDLIP! I've used two of the switches on mine hundreds of times, and, touchwood, they work perfectly every time, without fail. Would definitely buy this product again! Excellent!
