I researched for months and decided to pull the plug on this baby. Well I am glad I did!!! After ordering from Amazon I received my camera in two days! The camera was well packaged and looked great. I unpacked it and it felt very sturdy made of great material. I read the instructions and they are pretty simple to understand. The mounting is extremely easy. Screw the mounting plate by three screws that are included in the kit is a very easy task. The kit also comes with an adhesive sticker to place where the mount will go so the holes can be drilled if mounting on a brick wall or to drill pilot holes for the screws. Kit also comes with charging wire, USB A to USB C to charge the camera before installing it (which I highly recommend). This way the solar panel on the camera can just maintain the power in the batteries instead of trying to play catch up. I set up the camera to charge before ever installing it , because they are usually not fully charged. I connected the camera to charge and while it charged I download the AOSU App from the app store. I created an account and registered. I then turn on the camera and began adding it to the AOSU app. It was very easy to add. After syncing the camera I can now see the charging percentage of the camera. Fast forward I mounted the camera and was so easy to install. After the installation I played around with the cameras pan, tilt, and zoom and boy are they just awesome. From the instant response to the virtual controls to the image being so clear. The motion detection is awesome, cameras will follow the motion it detects very accurately.. Every time my doggos were outside my cameras would follow them. The zoom is great and very clear. Night Vision is excellent, I posted Night vision picture with no lights and a night time image with my solar lights. Overall, this camera has been the best Security Cameras I have ever owned. AOSU has the best performing cameras at a very great value. Very inexpensive. Plus with the local SD card storage there is no need for subscription ( No Subscription Required) . The fixed solar panel eliminates the use of wires and electricity. Also, your connection will depend on where the camera is placed. I recently upgraded my wifi with mesh wifi so I connected my camera to the closest mesh to the cameras and I'm getting 99% connectivity. Couldn't be happier with my AOSU Solar Security Camera SolarCam D1 Classic is A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PRODUCT.

Love this camera so much i ordered another one. Easy to set up & to add users. Pictures are clear even at night. Lets you know when someone is near, lingering. Sound is also great and to communicate as well if you see someone. The Alarm is super loud in case you need to use it to scare off someone. I bought a memory card and you don’t need to pay for the service, you get the same quality

This security camera has exceeded my expectations. It was very easy to install and since it is solar, there are zero wires to consider. Our house receives ample sunshine most of the day so the battery has yet to be an issue. Even when we have poor weather for several days in a row, the battery has not fallen below 50%. The camera quality is spectacular, colors and images are vibrant. The wide view and ability to pan the camera from the app is excellent. Speaking of the app, I’m pleasantly surprised with the UI. It is quite straightforward and easy to navigate. There are options for setting notification preferences as well. While installing, I dropped it from the ladder and thankfully it didn’t land on the concrete but it did bounce off the handrail and then onto the grass. No damage at all! Being in New England, this camera has also seen every possible weather pattern (hot sun, downpours, sub-zero temps, snow storms and most recently an ice storm) over the past several months and the quality is still excellent. The WiFi connection is great and stable as well. I really don’t think there is a con to this security camera. It is reasonably priced, specially if you get it on sale!

Worked wonderfully for the first 6 months. Will no longer charge. I contacted the company and they replied within 24 hours! They found that my camera is defective, and they are sending another to me, free of charge. This is what I love. A company that stands behind its product! No hassle, just help. Would purchase from them again! It's a great little camera for my chicken run!

Love this cam. Very little sunlight needed to charge it all night. So nice to place this anywhere it can get an internet signal. No wires! Great pic. Good night vision. Easy to set up. Great price for what it offers. Just wish it offered everything that is included if you subscribe, which I refuse to do.

Easy to install works great put on the side driveway of my house it picks up people not vehicles so you don't have constant ringing, no batteries or subscription love it

Camera works great and I love the functionality for the cost of the camera. I had one small issue with the camera not snapping securely onto the camera base and was worried that a wind may dislodge the camera and allow it to fall. I contacted the manufacturer and sent them a short video showing the loose connection and to my pleasant surprise they responded very quickly with the offer to send a replacement bracket. It’s so rare anymore to find a company that provides good customer service that I felt the need to write this review. I would recommend the camera just on functionality alone but finding a company that will stand behind their product and provide good customer support from a live body is amazing.

It’s a great camera system. Great quality and price. The setup and connectivity were fairly simple to install. The video quality is clear and in color, and inserting an SD card is recommended to ensure events are properly recorded. Notification alerts could be improved, as there is a slight delay. The voice quality is also clear.

On the one occasion I needed support, their team responded quickly, professionally, and went above and beyond to help me resolve my issue. It’s rare to see a company stand behind its product with this level of dedication. Overall, an excellent security camera backed by exceptional customer care. Highly recommended!

I bought this along with the along with the Eufy S340 and I think the AOSU Solar Camera is far better and much better value for money.

Love the camera, easy to install. Notifications are sent to my phone. Being based in Australia we get plenty of sunlight so the solar panel has no issues.

This review is for the support team (Julie). Had bought 2 of these cameras a couple of years ago and both of them started to act up with the rotation of the camera from side to side. For the price point these cameras are a solid 10 for ease of set up, picture quality, and functionality. But the camera has some weak points as I live in a colder climate and this alone puts limits on the devices. I have to be very careful operating them when it’s below -15C as this may cause break down plus the sun location in the northern hemisphere is a charging problem for me from Jan. to March. I reached out to the support team to tell them my problem and Julie just replaced them. Thanks again for your help.
