This does not have a battery operated option like the title suggests!
Only bought this because I thought I could use batteries only because the product title suggests that. Also the lights strobe in a way that is not visually pleasing and gave me a headache after having it on for a minute. Very cute when not turned on.

Beautiful piece for an arrangement of a Christmas village. I don't wait to shop for Xmas. I like picking things up over the year so I'm not overwhelmed. I have a big family

Lasted ONE season
We loved it last Christmas and this Christmas - only the lights work - no skaters - motor is out !!!Only last ONE Christmas and for this much dinero, I rate it a TWO at best. Reached out to the companyand got an answering machine twice.

Beautiful!
I am replacing a Dept 56 ice rink from 1982(?). It finally pooped out. Checking into rebuilt ones, I found were this price, too. So I opted to take my chances with this. Some of the reviews aren’t very flattering, but nonetheless…First of all, it is adorable, and the right size for a dept 56 village. This has six skaters (Dept 56 rink has 4); this has lights and music. It can operate with the skaters and light or skaters, lights, and music. I really, really liked it and my family did too. Now, crossing my fingers, it lasts as long as the Dept. 56 rink! Enjoy!!

Skaters don’t move at all
Really expensive for something that doesn’t even work. Got this as a gift for my mom because it reminds me of the one we had growing up. That one was way cheaper and worked for years.

Mediocre
The media could not be loaded. I had one of these as a child (still have it, it’s lasted over 30 years) this one cost $169 plus tax and is less than half the size I was expecting. The music is ok, the light are a plus. The skaters do not work well at all. Definitely not worth $170.
