In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Sizing is WAY off - 1/2 to 1 full size too big
The sizing on these turf shoes is WAY off! They run at least a 1/2 size to a full size big. I ordered a size 6 for my 11 year old daughter who currently wears a 5 1/2 in an Asics running shoe (without much room to spare). These shoes were gigantic on her! So I tried them on - I wear a size 6 1/2 in my Asics running shoes. These shoes were still too long on me but were a little snug at the ball of my foot. Also of note - my daughter likes the arch support in her Asics running shoes but these didn't have nearly as much arch support. I typically love Asics shoes but these didn't work for us.

Love these
I took a chance and ordered turf shoes without trying them on. Glad I took the chance. These shoes are extremely comfortable and while a bit narrow provide great support.I'd recommend these and definitely buy these again

Excellent comfort and performamce
This is a good brand of sport shoes for professionals. I got this for my daughter for field hockey as most of her teammates chose this brand. It is a good fit and she compliments its comfort, performance and durability.

These shoes run a 1/2 to 1 full size too big. Ordered a 10, sent them back. Waiting on my 9.5 to get here so I can try THAT size. We'll see...

Great comfortable turf shoe.
These cleats are Super comfortable, right out of the box. Great buy. I have already recommended them for many of my friends!

Great for turf, dirt, and grass
These are great for playing field hockey on turf, grass, and dirt. I have a medium-wide foot, size 9.5 M. They have great grip and flexibility. My only complaint is that they get hot on the turf (on hot days), but that's to be expected. Plus once I'm running I don't even notice.
