Amazing quality
Amazing stud finder perfect for the money. So easy to use has a guid like to show you exactly where to move it. Work perfectly. The size is great for someone with bigger hands.

Pricy But Accurate
I had to pierce a garage wall in a few spots before I caved and tossed aside my old stud-edge finder to pick this up. This stud finder is effective and accurate, and the multiple LEDs help provide a much more accurate idea of a stud's location compared to an edge finder. To top it off, this stud finder has an almost stupidly simple design feature that should be the industry standard: A button on the center of the unit that pushes out a punch to easily mark the wall behind it. The punch itself is effective enough to dimple drywall, but I think it would be easy to put some form of ink or toner on the end to make surface marks instead. The only drawback I can see is the price, but then again it could save you some drywall rework with missed stud holes.

Amazing stud finder with extra perks
So far so good. Has been using it after my stud finder stopped working correctly around the house. I liked how it will tell where the middle of the stud is and supper easy to used. The extra functionality of marking the drywall is not that good but a nice thing to have when you do not have a pencil on hand. Seems to be very durable, hope it last a long time definitely worth the money compared to low end stud finders from the store

Gets confused easily.
Price is right. Not "high tech". Doesn't work any better than the one I lost.

Garbage.
Apparently my whole wall is a stud. Piece of garbage doesn't work at all.

Need to find studs under double boarded drywall. It took some practice on how to use the finder but it worked! So pleased to have purchased this tool

The stud finder appears to identify the studs within my plasterboard walls well, it easily identifies the centers. The product would benefit from live cable detection or pipework detection. Im yet to fully cut the wall to confirm the accuracy but the unit seems well made and reliable. Its simple to use and does exactly as it states.

Love Ryobi products but this item was not as reliable as my other Ryobi tools. Drills, impact drill, circular saw etc. It was sketchy at best in defining the exact placement of easy 2x4 studs in new garage. Simple drywall cover. Was not accurate. Frustrating. Secured a different brand stud finder to finish my projects. Disappointed.

Out of 50-+ readings, all were “false positive” readings telling me there is a stud behind but only finding air instead, I replaced it with a craftsman and have been having a 100% hit rate on the studs. I would skip this and go for a different brand.
