My goddaughter is really into chess and this was a great intro book for her. Kept her interest and wasn’t too hard to follow.

Gift for my young seven-year-old grandson.

Basics of pieces and moves. Not much about plays, but it seems like there’s a follow up book for these. It also has some extra resources that you can download which is nice.

The media could not be loaded. I loved that this book had a table of contents. The pieces were each broken down and clear for kids to read and understand. The book also had a glossary in the back, which breaks down vocabulary words. As a teacher myself, I would recommend this for any teacher, parents, or family wanting to gift a child with the opportunity to learn about Chess

I liked the introduction of the pieces and translation into terms kids could understand.
